With the cowboys 3rd place nfc easy finish this makes 2000 years since we had a back to back nfc east winner
Cowboys will probably do pretty well in the regular season. Then lose as quickly as possible in the playoffs -
The other option is to just fuck off whatever you are using for a pressure side cleaner that probably has or will break, the pump and put the money in a robot cleaner. That's what I finally did after over 10 years doing multiple minor repairs and then ultimately replacing a Polaris and a few years after that finally starting to hear the same noises out of my booster pump that indicated it was on its last legs.
I had to wrestle with a Polaris and booster pump for years. Polaris repairs at Leslie’s pool supplies were always expensive. Shit didn’t work that well, and then the pump started making a racket and needed to be replaced or rebuilt. I pulled the whole thing and bought an electric dolphin with a 3 year warranty. It’s worked much better for me than the Polaris did. -
Sounds very good.
Ended up being closer to $15k bc I replaced the filter system, added some additional rock wall thing, and had him tear out the framing for the deck and reorder because he used sealed wood instead of pressure treated and I wanted all pressure treated wood.
We just used it for the first time this weekend and the extra space was definitely worth it, happy to start getting some payback from the investment.- 1

What does any of that have to do with the draft? My comment was about the draft grade and analyzing what we did in the draft.
My point was that the offseason mismanagement forced the team to approach the draft differently. We took guys where there was some consensus that they belonged, for whatever that’s worth, but we should have been taking other guys if the team hadn’t created additional problems for itself like it did -
The guy we took at the 29th pick, which most services had projected as a first round pick was not a reach. Our second round pick was projected to go in the second round. Our third pick was projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round. This wasn’t a classic Jerry Jones special taking guys before their projection because he just fell in love with them.
I wish we had taken a RB with our second pick in the third round and found a linebacker somewhere else through free agency or trade. That’s my biggest critique. But we all knew OL was a bigger priority so I cannot complain about the first and third pick.
Yes cool. But the problem is the team has gotten worse since the playoff loss. If we were adding to that team then this might be all good. But we let Tyron walk and Stephon walk and pollard walk and so on and so fucking forth. We got demolished by Green Bay because we had no diggs and no lbers. We should be getting diggs back, adding cooper, and adding Beebe to last years team. Next year is gonna suck, and we’re “all in” on that for sure. Which is cool, just expect it. Let’s let Dak and McCarthy walk, bring in belicheck, and go to a model where we pay all players but QBs. Keep a qb on a rookie deal then let him walk or trade him for picks when he’s good. Fuck it- 1
-
I mean god damn cowboys. Take cooper, then in the 2nd take a center/guard. Later in the draft take Christian jones and move him to guard. Lots of things that could be done to strengthen the OL and still grab a sure fire player like cooper. Or take kool aid to play beside diggs since the team let Gilmore walk. This team has holes everywhere and I don’t think a project left tackle is the best move when there were certified starters and at least one game breaker available.
-
The trade down and add a low 3rd was a good move.
The team that lost to the packers needed a LBer and I think cooper will be an all pro. He is the player I was hoping the cowboys would take.
But since the team has gotten decidedly worse since that loss to Green Bay, taking a CB or OL would be acceptable. I am not sure that Guyton will be that good, but I’m willing to give the team the benefit of the doubt, I guess.
Overall, I think we should all expect the team to suck and go through a reboot cycle. -
KPW's probably a regular r/CFB reader on Reddit, where NIL is a sign of the end times, has made CFB less fun, and will lead to the death of all sport.
buncha pansies there
Thanks rimjob- 1

Muhammad to field, Barron to boundary?

Someone can correct me if I heard incorrectly, but I think Gerry said right now OU would be the leaders for Damonic Williams, but only because Texas didn't know he was coming out. Said they put together a good NIL pacakge but that obviously Texas was prepared meet. Also said this one is going to come down to fit/culture.
This nil bs needs to come to its ultimate conclusion where athletic departments pay players directly and there are salary caps and shit.- 1

They both fumbled when it really mattered. That’s a stat I remember.

We are most definitely in the realm of if the team executes they should not drop a single game except against top ranked opponents who are evenly matched. Georgia next season comes to mind.
it’s really wild how this thread is so much different than years past. The jokes about surly not knowing how to act are so true. Everyone here knows better than to sunshine pump too hard but damn is it hard to talk much shit about this roster right now.
I have a certain rhythm to my sunshine pumping that I have honed in on over the years. Right now is the ‘we’re gonna be so good but there are other good teams on the schedule so let’s nitpick our weaknesses and assume something will soil the party next year.” But after a summer of nothing and fall camp, I will be frothing with a mouthful of “ we’re going to be un-fucking-beatable and here are 100 reasons why!” Followed by utter disillusionment should we do the unthinkable and lose a game. That will kick off a full grieving cycle where some parts will play out on the board and some in my real life.
That is life and the good stuff is in the journey.- 2

Don’t like the thermostat / thermometer thing. In my car when it gets hot, the thermostat opens up and lets all the water blow by it. That’s not what I want from my Oline.

I’ve tried a number of new ones lately, off the top of my head:
Old forestor tw store pick 100proof : like it a lot, wish I bought the regular 100proof one to compare it to.
Dickel 15 yr store pick 104 proof: this is awesome. My first Dickel and it’s a buy.
Barrel foundations: this is ok, I was hoping for better, but meh
Ben holliday soft red wheat: this is great. Definite buy.
What I really need is a weller full proof and a 23staggjr. If anyone here can help me get those for msrp, that would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance -
Aside from a few bottles I keep around for special occasions, if I’m having a drink before dinner on a Wednesday night, it’s EWBIB. It used to be Weller or Antique, but that ship sailed a long time ago.
A lot of love for ewbib , I get having a cheapo to drink on, but why not keep a 101, early times, and of100, mm101, some sort of cheap good rye, etc on hand too? That way you can rotate around a little. Variety is fun. -
Yesterday I picked up an old soul store pick and a Ben Holliday soft red wheat bib. Both new to me and enjoyed both of them quite a bit.

I’m flying southwest from Austin to Nashville soon, great pricing on that one.

Got this sweet watch today at Costco

Love the jcmb, this is a batch 225 at 54.54%. Very good. Hits a lot of dark notes. Notes of leather and the smell of fresh tobacco rubbed in the hand of an attractive Native American woman, toffee sweet and oak.

Went to my local specs last night and saw a bunch of bottles I had interest in for once:
Joseph magnus cigar blend batch 225 for $180
Remus gatsby reserve for $230
Remus repeal reserve 7 $90
EC toasted barrel for $55
Barrel cask strength 6yr for $76
Russel reserve single barrel rye $60
Woodford reserve Sonoma triple finish $130
Walked out with the JMCB which is my first time to find one on a shelf and try it. Really liked it, but need to try again when not already drunk.- 1

Anyone know anything about woodford Sonoma triple finish?

Grabbed a tincup 14er and really like it. Drinks above its proof in terms of flavor. Could drink the whole damn bottle too easy

I think Blue is the better receiver.
Blue also averaged 6.1 per carry compared to 4.8 for Baxter.
I tend to favor Blue slightly, though I am glad to have both. I really like guys who can house it on any play.
Let’s hope blue wraps up the football when he gets his touches next year. Baxter too, but I have more confidence in him bc of his style.- 1

It sucks this is all about money, but it is what it is and we are playing the game. Maybe we should have just gone for Nolan when he was for sale.
