Sports are an interesting follow. Two years ago people on this board were ready to shitcan Herman and replace him with Orlando. Then, they lived in fear at the end of the season that Todd would be swept away to another coaching gig.

Oh somebody should tell Aunt Lindsey that lynching IS American, so much so that they made a song about it and the sheer terror of being murdered by mobs at a whim forced millions of black people to migrate from the south to the north.

A map of lynchings through the US from 1836 - 1964.

    Orange represents black victims
    Yellow - Hispanics
    Red - Asian
    Pink - Native Americans
    Green - White

Trump being held accountable for his actions through a Congressional inquiry is anything but a lynching. He's still living, breathing and being an overall POS.

WVU, ou and now through the first half plus-ish against fucking Kansas. Sam is the only thing keeping this offense going and he's having to run more than he did his freshman year. Even our badass announcers (sarcasm alert) pointed out that he had been either sacked or hurried (can't remember) more times this season than all of his freshman year. That's right, the same OL that was supposed to be our best unit going into this season is on par with the same OL that had Okafor and Nicholson at tackles.

There's no excuses for our running game either. Don't give a single solitary fuck about depth and injuries. Tom went into this season knowing he was going to be relying on a true sophomore and a true freshman converted RB. He's been gifted Roschon yet stubbornly keeps Ingram ahead of him when it's obvious that Roschon is better at this point. But don't worry, our "extension" of the running game will help out eventually. Devin running those flairs is still a fresh concept other teams haven't picked up on and running Sam 15+ times (by design or not) doesn't come with any consequences.

Our receivers are not physical. Like, at all. CJ has gotten better but he still doesn't play his size. Everyone seems to have caught a case of the drops. Malcolm Epps continues to play a position in this offense that requires him to be a possession receiver. He'll eventually be better but I honestly don't understand him still playing when literally any DB can lock him up and make him look like a baby giraffe trying to catch a ball. If mensa is really mensa, he should have the scout team (or the whole fucking defense for that matter) hold and PI on every play in practice. Get used to that shit and fight it off. Learn how to draw the flag when necessary.

Continuing to run 11 personnel 99.9% of the time will be Herman's downfall. Especially within the narrow scope he or Beck are currently calling the plays in. There's no surprise in this offense. If you can't at least agree that this staff doesn't do a good job of breaking tendencies then I don't know why you're still reading this.

The whole point of this thread is to point out the flaws in this basic offense and get people to realize it's not just the defense that's costing us games. It's incredibly disingenuous to say "2 losses by a combined 2 TDs." We sucked shit through a straw against ou all fucking game and, to be honest, I'm starting to think that LSU game looks a lot different had it been played later in the season. We shouldn't struggle to move the ball against Kansas. Like fucking ever. Making this thread after the first half of producing 21 points and seeing some of you come back after the game and say "durr, 50 points and 600 yards" is fucking laughable because you're still not seeing the problems.

TLDR-- I'm still just being a bitchass pussy who's not happy with 600 yards and 50 points. It's what you'll gather from most of the replies anyways.

Thank you. Yes, it's still possible to put up big numbers and look like shit (i.e last night). We make the game way harder than it needs to be. Herman's stubbornness and arrogance is what keeps this team stagnant when it should be taking that next step to becoming dominant on offense. No excuse to not let Roschon carry the load in the run game and to actually commit to running the football. There is absolutely no reason to play Epps as much as they are right now unless it's in the redzone and even then I'm not sure if he'll catch the ball.

Have you not watched this team under Herman? No one is going to "buttfuck" this football team. We will play up or down to our opponent.

Could we lose to Baylor? Sure, but if OU didn't "buttfuck" us, Baylor certainly won't. I don't think Tech even needs to be addressed.

Last week's game was about as one sided as you can get in a 7 point game. We were outcoached, out physicaled on both ends and Lamb toyed with this defense. We got our asses kicked last week and Baylor has enough in the passing game to exploit our back end, better pray that guys get healthy by then. And I don't think we should overlook Tech, hell we can't overlook anybody right now.

We play up or down to our opponents for the most part of Herman's tenure sure but this year the team as a whole is regressing as the games go on. That shit is going to cost us another game or two this season. It's not just a simple case of guys being injured, they look like they don't know what they're supposed to be doing out there on defense half the time, that's coaching.

These threads are such cancer. Tom is our guy. He needs a better staff around him and he for sure needs a deeper, more experienced roster. But looking at the bigger picture:

    • Immediate turn around year 1 in winning a bowl game and going above .500
    • 10 wins in year 2 including a NY6 bowl win (an ass whipping against Georgia) and a win against OU in the Cotton Bowl
    • 5-2 right now in year 3 - with our 2 losses against 2 of the best 5 teams in college football

I get it. He plays games tight that shouldn't be tight. But fuck, he actually wins, and compared to late Mack and Charlie that is a breath of fresh air. 2020 is our year. It always was our year. 2018 and 2019 are building years. We're young and we're banged up this year. Last year we still had Chuckles stink on the roster. Next year if we aren't blowing out shitty teams and finishing at worst 11-1 then maybe we start looking.

But as of now, Tom is doing what he should be. It's amazing how quickly we get spoiled after being such dogshit for so many years. Just win and move on. 10-2 is on the table. B12 title is on the table. Another Sugar Bowl is on the table.

Hook 'em Horns and let's move on to next week, try and get healthy and fuck up TCU's bitch ass.

10-2? Where in the hell do you see 10-2 on our remaining schedule? Tech and Baylor will buttfuck this defense.
