    New one.

Our daily driver (that never gets gas) is at the body shop because my wife hates deer a got one a few weeks ago. The rental that made sense to me was getting the small Corolla because we can drive it longer for free, and she can drive my Jeep around and I’ll use the Corolla if I need. IDGAF what I drive.

Anyway she leaves to take the kids to school and they actually wanted to take the rental. So they leave and after about five minutes she comes back in holding the key. “Babe, I can’t turn the key and the car won’t start.” “Did you shake the wheel or turn it while turning the key?” “No! That’s dumb!”

I was guilty of this one back when I got my first car.  Actually called my dad to come get me.

Bartenders work in alignment with the expectations set by upper management or ownership.

First, thank you for this little nugget.  Best laugh I've had all week.

It isn't "stealing" when ownership encourages you to take a drink or two off of a regular customer's tab every once in awhile.

This is not the scenario we are discussing.

Reading comprehension is your friend. Bar of a restaurant. Food is purchased and consumed. And this isn't Applebee's in terms of price. Some of you guys have obviously never worked in hospitality. Restaurants regularly take care of their very best customers. Thread derail over.

You're right that restaurants (owners / managers) take care of their best customers, and comp shit all the time.  That is based on how much of your money goes to said restaurant.  What restaurants don't do is comp shit based on how well people tip.

What you described was the bartender giving you free drinks because you tip well.  That is stealing.

This. My wife and I eat at the bar of a particular restaurant near us about once a week. We've gotten to know the bartenders quite well and I tip very generously. The ring up the first drink we have and that's it. Glasses stay full the entire time we're there and we never pay for more than one round.

What does the owner think of you and the bartender stealing from him?

Artificially preventing?  You had three conference champs and OSU.   And, what would have ended differently?  TCU beat Michigan, who beat OSU, who barely lost to Georgia.   So Georgia curb stomping TCU negates everything else?    By that logic imagine how much Georgia would have pisspounded Michigan in the championship game after they took out the Buckeyes, again.

Yes, artificially preventing. At the end of the season OSU had better wins and their 1 loss was to Michigan VS KState. Objectively. OSU should have been 3rd, but nobody wanted a rematch.

As for what would have ended differently? You never know, but I suspect we wouldn't have had the worst championship game in the BCS CFP Era.

I see they had to sneak in famous Texas A&M QB Lamar Jackson on the announcement edit

It's such a strange flex. Never would I point to VY as an endorsement of Greg Davis' coaching abilities. It's the opposite.
