he's less than a year out of college, he does not need to play 162 games. 100 or so is about right imo

Aw, come on, Putt. The reason they started the season with him in the bigs was the chance that he might be that unicorn, earn Rookie of the Year, and they’d get an extra high draft choice.

Obviously not happening, also obvious is that he needs to get a lot of at bats - good or bad - while he learns to hit against increased competition.

If you are a shit team? Sure, put him in the MLB lineup every day.

If you are serious about contending for the 11th year in a row, he’s in AAA while he figures it out.

  2. On the broadcast, as Cam was rounding third after the 1st home run, Blum coins a signature tag line - “Wham, bam, thank you Cam!” lol

Same way he used to say, “Mom - the meatloaf!” back when Chas used to hit home runs.

No tag line after the second home run.

I have a feeling he was told to cut that shit out.

This is another place I could cut, I am currently paying $300+ for AT&T.

I would need unlimited data. I am curious about how good is their internet speed.

If you are happy with ATT service, Cricket is owned by ATT and uses their towers. My kids and I are on a plan that has unlimited everything plus 15 gigs of hotspot per month.

They don’t throttle your data on this particular plan. It costs $110, taxes included, per month for 3 lines. Of course, you have to bring your phones with you. We’ve been happy with it.

  4. Sorry for the closures to all affected. Thoughts and prayers.

For all that are complaining about long wait times, if possible, call ahead.

Many times over the years, when traveling back to Houston after visiting my wife’s parents, we phoned our order in to the Llano DQ when about 5-6 minutes away.

Arrive, make use of the facilities, the food is ready.

Llano DQ has always been good, as long as you beat the church crowd on Sunday.

It's a pretty significant change to the bat design. Manfred loves offense, so I could see him approving this league wide to increase the activity in games. Either way, the League needs to make a definitive ruling on it, because there are plenty of players who would use it if they knew it was an option.

This could be a very interesting development in the game, as older players tend to lose bat speed this bat design could be used to help them maintain their hitting capability and extend their careers longer.  I read somewhere that Stanton used it last year and had the fastest swing in the league and was 9 MPH faster than the average MLB swing. A 10-15% faster swing speed is a significant change that could really help a lot of players stay relevant longer, and certainly some young guys can take advantage of it.

MLB already said that the bats are legal, as long as they conform to the weight and length guidelines.

All of the bats that have been tested do conform to those standards.

What I find interesting is that, in a sport that has always been about getting an edge any way you can, nobody figured this out over the last 125 years, until now.

  6. You forgot point #11 - Our pets’ heads fall off

Geez, talk about a Debbie Downer

But, yeah, I agree that about 90 wins will do it, McCullers and Garcia win 10 games between them, and the back end of Whitley in the 7th, Abreu in the 8th, and Hader in the 9th will be nails all year.

Just what we have been waiting on.....

Astros have agreed to a Minor League deal with veteran IF Luis Guillorme, according to a source. The 30-year-old has seven years in big leagues, mostly with Mets. Lefty bat provides some infield depth.

Does the back strap stand up to the braising? What's the consistency of it? I grilled a back strap the other day and frankly I just don't care for it. I need to figure out some "go-to" venison recipes because I don't care for it but my ten year old has started killing deer.

The Mississippi Pot Roast recipe using a front quarter in a crock pot is an easy way to make a fantastic venison meal.

    https://www.spendwithpennies.com/mississippi-pot-roast/

I let it go approximately 8 hours in the crock pot until it just falls apart. Then make gravy with the leftover juices and serve over mashed potatoes.

Most people I’ve served it to had no idea that it was venison instead of beef.

Oh, he says he hopes we lose every game, but he’s a mensch because he likes Thujone’s work?

Bullshit. He’s an aggy dick rider that likes Thujone’s work.

    Fuck him.
