  1. Would Miller bring Swain and or Conwell with him? Would Texas want them?
  2. Grubbs says hello, it could be interchangeable.
  3. Texas wanted to hire Miller last time but circumstances and the fact he lost to Texas and Terry it didn't happen. This time Miller beat Texas and Terry, and he got the job. So, if Texas and Terry had beaten Miller and Xavier, which they should have. Then Texas loses to Illinois in the first round, which most likely would have happened. Does Texas still name Miller as head coach, if Terry was fired. Would seem a little awkward.
  4. Noodling must really keep you in good shape.
  5. Really flipped the switch midway through last night's game and it just continued into today. Texas became dominant and I would like to think coaching had an effect. As we talked about the batting approach became different and the offense came to life. The pitching looked different too. They had command and that is made the difference today. Even when Volantis lost his mechanics in the ninth, a Weiner visit straightened him out. Big series win that can do nothing but give this team confidence in themselves and the coaching staff, which they probably already had.
  6. He's at Rice now. We would have gotten swept by LSU most likely instead being poised to win this series over a top team. Last night was the first win over a top five team since 2021.
  7. Also, a lefty batter leaves that play wide open to the catctcher.
  8. I don't know about that with Belyeu up.
  9. It's very close, depending on what angles they have. If they can't see it, though you can't overturn it.
  10. Kind of obvious that he wanted to get thrown out. Wouldn't think LSU would need that kind of motivation stuff.
  11. I wonder if anybody has talked to Rodriguez about just hitting lefty all the time for now. He can just rake batting lefty, can't believe he would that bad against lefty pitching.
  12. It's also kind of why it was a bad idea to bring Riojas back after five great innings of work.
  13. Thanks, all world freshman, you can't try for that play in that situation.
  14. I mean after the throw, as an infielder he can't control the throw from the catcher.
  15. I thought that would be a sure double, that left fielder was quick, but I thought Farmer would try for it, with his speed.
  16. It was the safe play, but if whoever is covering second comes and meets the throw and with momentum comes back to the plate, he had real shot for the out.
  17. Playing with fire.
  18. This is why he shouldn't have started this inning. After five innings with him you're just getting greedy.
  19. I knew coaches that if you did that, they would make you use two hands the rest of the season or else.
  20. What was that? Mr. nonchalant.
  21. Two very hard-hit balls in a row. Get this third out and call it a great day Riojas. Another hit, I wouldn't wait long, take no chances.
  22. It might have cleared it, at least on it.
  23. Wow, that was Kieschnick like. What a shot!
  24. Another good at bat by Mendoza. Might get Shores pitch count to around 100 this inning.
