I got negged by three people for posting Casey's highlights from the Alamo Bowl when many of you were convinced Card is much better. That's the QB who won a game for us and could be starting the first game. How fucked up is that?

Then I got negged by 10 posters for making fun of one of those 3 people who went on a rampage negging my other posts. That was hilarious! Some of you have serious anger issues. You should see someone about that.

I have put all of those on ignore because I don't know you and I don't care for your takes either and it seems like you have a personal vendetta or perhaps I remind you of someone who did bad things to you as a child. Seems like some of you just can't wait to neg me. You always have the option to put me on ignore if you don't agree with me. That's what I did now that I know who you are.

I am happy to discuss with other posters who have their anger issues under control, have a sense of humor, and are willing to get out of their comfort zone.

Lastly, I dig FutureMan's jokes. He is one of the smartest posters here. To @Futureman:

So many idiots on this board negging people for suggesting Casey should have been the starter. It was not a difficult choice if you had a little bit of foresight. You don't have to get smacked on the head before you realize something is coming at you. When two QBs perform neck and neck in practice but one has some street cred, go with the one with the street cred and let the other develop. There was no need to rush Card. He will be a great QB for us in a year, not now. And Sark has turned out to be every bit of a lackluster hire as I had imagined. I hope he doesn't set the program back another 5 years. Turn things around quick or get out. Texas has no more time to fuck around and find out.

Calm your tits. No one is disrespecting Casey. Whoever wins the job needs to show out over a longer time horizon than one half of one game. I’m optimistic about the position because he showed he could play well but that’s not what is ultimately going to decide who is the starter.

I am calm but looking at your previous few posts, you were constantly putting Casey down and saying things like he hasn't shown anything on the field. That just is not true. He had a terrific bowl game and had a decent scrimmage until he threw the pick. Some guys just show up when it matters the most. I think based on his bowl game performance, he deserves to start unless he has been performing way worse than Card in the scrimmages.

The problem with having a local product as one of our QBs is that a certain section of our fans would always prefer him over the other guy regardless of their performance. Same thing happened with Sam, and I am afraid it's already starting to happen with Card. This type of attitude will keep the out-of-state kids away from Texas.

Let Casey start and keep him in a short leash. If he doesn't perform, then you have a legitimate excuse to replace him with Card and nobody can say we give local kids preference. Unless of course Sark sees Card as the future and thinks he is ready.

What is “should” based on? It’s certainly not anything on the field that has been visible to fans.

Didn't Casey have a breakout performance in the bowl game giving us fans hope that we would be in good hands when Sam left? That was not practice or scrimmage; that was a real game against a P5 team under pressure. Let's not disrespect the dude.

  5. Wow, what a drive by Sam! If he carries this momentum into next week, he could be looking at being the starter in the regular season. Man, he deserves every bit of good fortune coming his way!

The same sort of demented hazing of the few Ags that post here, who have shown to be independent-minded... it just gets old after a while. I stopped posting here because of the same stupid comebacks by these people. Give some fresh conversation, I'm here. Otherwise I'm mostly happy to read the put downs among themselves and the (off late) rarer updates on A&M recruiting... (Satya and some others used to be really good with bringing the free stuff from the 9.95ers but haven't been as active recently).

I just come here time to time for free content from the 9.95ers, but with Machinator and Satya giving up on us, we don't get much of that any more.

You’re correct. At Texas, they have not. This, Texas’ reputation still stands. Damn, y’all are so defensive on this shit. We’ve been subpar. That doesn’t mean Texas will always be.

I agree with this. People here are extremely defensive when deep down everyone knows we have sucked for years. When we have good players, we have bad coaches and vice versa. What would it take to make it all come together?

The "football isn't fun unless we win every game" mindset is a sad way to go through life man. Maybe 7-8 teams ever have had a run as good as we had through 10 years of Mack, and one of those was the Texas DKR years. And as for losing to OU half the time, that's why it's a rivalry. They're one of the best teams in the nation most years, and we still have the series record on them.

I wasn't talking about going through life. There are many things that keep me happy but when you're watching your team play, you want them to be better than others, no? We have had a short span of success mostly due to a generational player.

  9. Following Texas football has been utterly depressing since I have been a fan. We squander our potential like no other. Our best era since I attended Texas during the late '90s was the Mack Brown era. We were winning a lot of games then, won the National Championship and played in another, but we would come up short against OU more often than not, which would leave a bad taste in my mouth for several weeks. I hope I get to enjoy Bama/OSU like success sometime before my time is over.

Putting aside all of your pompous, uninformed effrontery, this solar suggestion from you is perfectly valid and is one of the use cases written but not willy nilly published here. Specifically, large service fee organizations, like mortgage companies - see @Wulaw Horn, solar installers (we have a background in solar as well), insurance, realtors, banking, wealth management, etc. Groups that make large fees on a new deal of one sort or another who could pay the typical referral portion in a different direction on a few accounts that the base brings in for the business.

As to the point of about the autograph, Sydney already addressed it, but you're just hilariously wrong on that position and you do a strong job of pulling the bookshelf on top of yourself in a single post by then obliviously attempting to make the same argument in your favor. That was some good shit.

Also, tell Graeme at Axis hello for me. Good luck in the transaction.

We could work with a company like Axis (although I don't know them) that does the installation work. We will finance, own and operate, and pay the players for their appearances. Good money to be made here by everyone!

No, you twit. It has nothing to do with a business plan and everything to do with a giant board with many posters from different Fanbases seeing things laid out as an easy resource. Perhaps don’t give anyone else ideas, and let every other possible person and program that isn’t Texas make their own mistakes. This board is extremely visible, Captain Myopia.

Wow, I am not sure how to respond to this idiocy. Is this your king, Surly? lol

Anyway, I will delete my post.
