Ian botoxed his vocal cords and he could only sing in falsetto or he would sound like he was going through puberty, unable to control his voice. I guess something went wrong with the Botox or else, he knew it would affect him and still did the treatment for whatever reason. Jesus crossed the rio grande sounded weird in a high pitched voice.
Who knew a little botulism toxin would fuck shit up?

Shake it off is both catchy as fuck and a great life lesson.
I could have used that advice as a young kid. Instead, we got Madonna. TS is a badass role model for my niece.-

Yep, it’s going to happen. Maybe when dumbfucks see their kids lying in an iron lung, they’ll question things. Or they’ll just blame wokeness.
That’s the thing. When the Salk vaccine came out, you couldn’t keep parents away. Polio killed kids left and right seemingly with no end in sight and they lined their kids up with arms out. Some iterations DID have negative consequences, but compared to the virus you didn’t need critical thinking to understand the concept.-

Are going to convince a bunch of other dumb fucking people to harm their kids.
Might as well bring back polio, if it was good enough for FDR, it was good enough for our kids.
Polio will be back. Mark it 0, dude.

The biggest problem I see is they want in-state testing of products.
That’s where more good grift is, dude.-

well they need to get their testing companies set up, before they can update the law to direct all testing business to their companies. Haven't you ever oligarched before?
THIS. They won't be using the Texas PHL that is taxpayer funded. lol.

Looks vetoed. I don't believe it.

My guess is that it has always been a mix. Maybe someone called them out on it?

To me, one of the problems of quitting is that there's a good chance that many in your life are drinkers and they're the ones who have a problem with your quitting. And not that they're bad people that want you to be an alcoholic or heavy drinker but rather that they want a drinking friend at times. Anyone can say those aren't your friends but that's not necessarily true.
I hear you. It is up to me to put them at ease. I still hang out and my husband still drinks. I can feel when someone feels judged by it, usually family members, and I try to be kind and make them feel at ease as well.
I get it. The most important thing for me is to feel comfortable in my own skin. Not drinking helps and I tend to give off that vibe in a room, so most people relax around me while drinking. -
On the whole drinking thing, if you’re looking for pills to make you feel better it might be time to just quit. I was having a conversation with my teenagers a couple years ago about drinking and how pervasive it was in their classes. The parents didn’t seem to care and enabled it because they were doing the same thing. I packed up 100+ bottles of bourbon, gave them away, and haven’t thought about it again. The health benefits were pretty quick even though I only had a drink or two a few nights a week while cooking or eating with friends. Even a minor amount on a regular basis makes a difference.
The culture of alcohol consumption is odd when you really think about it. From being around my kids friends, it’s becoming a more significant problem in their age ranges than what I remember growing up.
I quit a couple of years ago as well and it has been the best decision for me. I was a very heavy drinker, but I was medicating underlying mental health issues.
I understand that many social drinkers do not have the same problems so to each their own. But from a physical and mental health standpoint quitting was the only way for me.

Call the folks at Marina Pool and Spa. Best prices and warranty. they should be able to help.
https://marinapoolspaandpatio.com
Great rec! They guided me to a Polaris model that will climb walls and also skim the top within my budget. I was not expecting that.
Thank you!-

I need help on a rec for a pool robot that is worth a shit for my husband's birthday. Budget is ~$600, but I can spend more if convinced.
I don't follow this thread and my husband takes care of the pool. It turns green every year and acorns settle on the bottom. I want to help him and show him that I support him. He's not into trouble free pool because "reasons". It's 4' deep and 10'x40' (lap-style). Will this work or is there something more reliable out there?

This sums up my attitude on the pills:
https://www.nm.org/healthbeat/healthy-tips/do-hangover-pills-really-work
If you're just talking about a couple of drinks, try the supplements and see if they help with hangovers. It's probably a bunch of B vitamins that perk you up and make your pee yellow.
If you are trying to prevent liver damage, I couldn't find much to support the idea behind the claims on cystine. This study is pretty weak (animal models and low participant #) and from 2010. I didn't dig deeper than that because I need to get to work.

This so great, but F’ville is very much a blue dot within a sea of red. Walking around town there last week, I saw lots of pride and trans flags, and local elected officials there are mostly progressive. It’s starting to spread as NWA grows as a metro area, but the rest of the state still makes up for it.
I heard Little Rock had a big crowd of over 7k. That's huge for Arkansas. There were towns up and down I-40 holding events. It's not all F'Ville.

Same. I'm 45 minutes from Austin, so I leave for the gym at 4 to avoid traffic both ways as much as possible. Perimenopause helps. I ain't sleeping anyway.

I've never "been" to Snows. I ordered it online like a civilized human being that doesn't want to stand in a stupid Aggy line. It was excellent, as expected. UPS>Door Dash.

Make Humanity Diseased as Fuck Again.
We're getting rid of food safety laws and inspections (all the unpasteurized milk you can drink! No more inspections of food plants/operations!)
We're functionally getting rid of/drastically reducing the very vaccines that have saved millions upon millions of human lives, and eradicated or nearly eradicated horrific diseases.
Things were obviously much, much better when the average lifespan was about half of what it is today -- Make America 1860 Again!
Yeah, pay close attention to where your food comes from going forward.
I’m concerned about the Blue Bells, etc out there. Without the epidemiological work that goes on to detect, track, and fingerprint food born illnesses, we will be in the dark. That’s not a good place to be when dealing with bugs like 0157:H7.
I’ll be in my garden…..-
