  1. So, Maeve's "power" is her tapping into the mesh network that links all the hosts that Bernard told the Delos people about, yes?

Are they building towards Maeve and Bernard crossing paths and "making a deal"?  She helps him eliminate most of the hosts to get the park back under control in exchange for her and her group's freedom from the park?

  2. I've talked about my very liberal almost 16 year old daughter's politics before but I've never posted about her religious beliefs.

Up until a year or two ago she would tell you she didn't believe in God and was right proud to say so.  Then she started going to a youth group with a friend - at first just for the social aspects.  A lot of her friends went and she didn't want to be left out.

At some point, something changed for her.  She did not grow up going to church and we are not religious but through this youth group she found faith.

She is still a liberal politically and wants to be a surgeon, so no science rejector here.  But she has found a way to fit her faith in with her political and intellectual beliefs.

Here are two pictures from her Instagram - not of her, you dogs! - when she did the March For Our Lives.  One shows her sign and the other is her post explaining the bible verse that inspired her to march.

IF you can get some of the socially aware, smart kids to the RIGHT church that preaches the RIGHT message you will find a lot of them won't reject religion - they will embrace it.

But Brisket is right - most of what the younger generation has seen coming from the evangelicals is not appealing and drives them away.  It's a shame because they aren't the majority of christians but they are the loudest and the most visible and they are, unfortunately, the "face" of modern religion.

  3. See, I find the Kennedys are more than politics hot - especially Bobby and JFK Jr.

Teddy was a looker when he was young, too.  JFK is actually the least attractive to me.

Anyway, didn't mean to derail - I was just answering the question from a few pages back inquiring about Beto's looks - there aren't very many of us on this board that can answer that as an expert so I felt the need to voice my expertise.

  4. I'm a little late, but I find Beto to be quite handsome - not just politics hot.  He's got a very Kennedy-esque thing going on.

I like his salt and pepper hair, too.

But he definitely ticks most of my boxes - tall, lanky, angular face, mop of dark hair.  All he needs is a british accent.

  5. Just watched the new docu-series "Evil Genius".  Four episodes and very well done.  I like this new direction from Netflix of doing 4-5 hour series on obscure but weird and interesting true crime stories.

Yeah next you'll tell me America will elect a reality TV game show host as president.

And we elected the worst possible one.

Jeff Probst, Phil Keoghan, and especially Julie Chen would have been better if we had to go the reality TV game show host route.

My God, Ronan Farrow is crushing it. Didn't he just break the Black Cube story too?

Yep.  He's an interesting guy.  His mom (Mia Farrow) has been known to hint that his bio dad is actually Frank Sinatra and not Woody Allen.  And he HATES Woody.

He's only 30 years old and graduated college at 15.

He's a really interesting and sharp dude.

  8. Anyone else think Bernard transferred all the files hidden in Abernathy to his own hard drive in order to keep the info away from Charlotte/Delos?

Maybe his breaking down in the "11 days after the revolt" timeline is more than just a physical injury.
