  1. One thing I remembered today that I haven't seen commented on:
The play before Bert's FG kick to go up 21 points, we were on the right hash, where Bert has problems this season. Sark called a play that was a run to the left, so that if we didn't get the TD the ball was in the middle of the field. We didn't get the TD, but Bert made the FG. That was some solid situational awareness in the moment by Sark.

    Nice observation

  2. IIRC, Gilbert got booed against BYU in 2011.  70+ year old lady 2 rows in front of me was booing about as loudly as  anyone.
I expressed, to no one in particular, but perhaps to the person I was with, "C'mon, this is not necessary.  He knows he's struggling."
70+ year old lady turns to me and says, "If we do not boo him, Mack will leave him in."  I told her that Mack has a close-up of what we are watching - or something like that.
A few plays later, he was removed for David Ash.  She turns to me and yells, "See!  Told ya so!"
    Ok, wow.  SMH

  3. Once you sell/transfer there’s no way to know what happened to then, unless UT sends an email saying they got revoked cuz some dude fired a bottle on the field….

Don’t sell them to someone on surly to eliminate that risk
  4. Coverages have been pretty good consistently.  Our returners seem to make questionable decisions much of the time, especially Bolden.
Do you really lay Auburn's regression and punter injuries at the feet of the ST coach?  I guess you have to, but sometimes shit happens.

Banks needs to quit monkeying around

  5. The “reason” for the fuckery was Mao Grant Teaff could go out with a winning record and bowl game in his last season. Of course, Texas needed that win to go to a bowl game (the UNT win didn’t count towards the six wins necessary, them being D-1AA), too. Their gift to Grant Teaff fucked a squad of Longhorns over.
Roger’s Redding was the referee. Check out the box score-Baylor didn’t give enough of a shit about Teaff to fill the stadium, but the refs had to take care of their friend.

If you’re thinking of writing a letter to Redding, asking what he was doing, you’re out of luck

Did Baylor get raped in the bowl game?
  6. OU is so turbofucked.
    To recap:
Brent Venables is in way over his head. He’s a good position coach, maybe a coordinator
Their QB’s on the roster suck, and they will always suck no matter what.  Could they become good enough to win 8 games by senior year of the rest of the team was good enough?  Ok. Maybe. But they damn sure ain’t an answer
Their fanbase is poverty level and they will be behind us, aggy and on par with Arkansas and LSU in the regional areas they need to win. There is no way they are winning national battles for guys. they don’t have the money
their schedule is brutal. Looks like 5-7 or 6-6 this year. It’s probably even harder next year when it flips home and road.
They are fixing to wander the wilderness for the first time in a generation and it’s absolutely glorious.

  7. It certainly isn't a given that OU can win another game in the SEC this season.  If they lose the rest of their conference games this year, Venables might be gone.  This is his 3rd year and his offense is hot garbage.  He has completely fucked up their QB situation, and their offense. He is at least is partly responsible for how that has been handled. He might get another year by replacing his OC, but I wouldn't count on it.
I can't see their decision makers being very patient with him.  Good DC but in over his head as HC, imo.
On the other hand, maybe they are dumb enough to let him stay a while.  They're due a down cycle.

I think they need to give him a big fat extension this offseason. He’s done so much for our program.

  8. Arch holds the ball a long long time. He threw over the top of Miss St, but besides that he struggled with short and intermediate throws. Those are young guy issues and he surely will get better. Right now QE is the better player for what we are trying to do. You blitz him and he gets the ball out to the right guy. Go back and look at the plays we hit on. The Wingo slant a guy came completely free up the middle and the ball is out before the blitzer gets to his 3rd step. Same thing with the Helm sideline play. OU's gameplan is way way more aggressive if Arch is in there. With QE the defense is much more passive and that allows us to get to the second level in the run game too.
Here is the 1st Quintrevion big play. 3 man front, and their second level, out of respect for QE's RPO game, is frozen in place waiting to see if the give is legit.

By the time they start reacting Banks and crew have set the edge, walling off any pursuit.

They reach everyone leaving only one player to make a play on Wisner in the open field.

Same thing on the other play he busted below. Legit 3-3-5 flyover. Supposedly QE's Achilles" heel. This is a 1st down too. Against our O-line you are going to get mauled in the running game here and they did.
