Seems like the Kawhi thing went off the rails after Lue got there - Kawhi had the Toronto year, then his first year for the Clippers was second team all NBA and they had the epic collapse with Doc Rivers in the bubble. That looked like a potential title team at the moment Lue got hired.

Ah yes, the bubble year where everyone got 3-4 months off to rest up for the stretch run and playoffs.  There's the answer, Clippers just need to ask the league to institute an in-season, quarter-year load management break.

That dude is gonna end up selling the team when he realizes just how fucked the future is for them.

Nick Wright predicted Ishbia sells the Suns before any of the NBA expansion teams plays a single game, using Prokhorov as the example.  It's going to get real ugly for Ishbia for the next few years as Durant and Beal continue to age, they can't draft anyone, and Booker starts to pout about wasting his prime.

6ers are gonna have some work to do this summer lol

The Suns, Lakers, and Clippers would kill to be in that position.  The Heat might not be willing to kill, but they'd consider it.

  4. Tobias Harris tonight in 29 minutes, 0 points on 2 shots, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Never let the Sixers forget than they chose to keep him and Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler.

  5. Until those FTs, Embiid was sitting at 2pts scored in the 4th quarter...again.  Sixers probably rely on him too much on both ends of the floor and yes he's injured, but this seemingly happens every year.

    wtf just happened

Knicks fans are going to go flying off of the Empire State Building if they fuck this up

Are we including Stephen A Smith?  Or is he gonna hedge his bets and claim he's also Sixers fan?

Probably an unpopular opinion here but I don’t see much difference between Jalen Brunson’s foul-baiting and James Harden’s.

Give it 2-3 years.  He's getting a pass for now as the media wants New York relevant.

    Miami gargling Celtic balls. Bummer.

Miami went through the same process with the Bucks a few years ago.  Embarrassed them in the bubble, then got swept in the 1st round the following year.  They should be happy they didn't mortgage their future to acquire Beal/Lillard to get the same result.

Brooks, Nash and Monty didn't need help getting killed. I don't think he had any issues with Billy D. There was drama on the Ws but that was an awkward situation for everyone - I don't think he ever wanted Kerr gone or anything like that.

The Suns have a bigger roster issue than they do a coaching issue, but at the same time I'm not going to pretend like Vogel did an amazing job or anything this season. I think he was fine in the regular season and then got pantsed in the playoffs.

Durant keeps finding/putting himself in less than optimal situations and then complaining about them. It's like he just wants to play pick-up ball without much accountability.

Nash may have been a terrible coach on his own merits, but Durant and Kyrie should still get partial credit for that debacle.  They wanted Atkinson fired and wanted someone who was more of a friend/teammate in the coaching role.

  10. Miami dark magic strikes again, they end up winning even after faceplanting in their offseason pursuit of Beal or Lillard.  They weren't getting by Boston this year, let alone Denver/OKC/Minny.  Maybe they somehow shuffle deck chairs along with Phoenix and get Durant since Ishbia is probably going to do something stupid again.

Clipps are better without the malcontent.

Good thing they locked down PG for the next few years instead of the malcontent who can't stay health...oops.

Yeah I figured it out right around halftime that people aren’t restricted to only watching sports on broadcast television. Early adopter and shit.

I don’t even have the heart to say fuck Kawhi any more. He’s already been fucked enough by his broken down body. Get well soon. You’re never winning shit.

Don't worry, I got you covered.

Fuck Kawhi Leonard.  He's being paid handsomely to sit on the bench in warmups every year.  He doesn't give a shit as long as he's paid.

Another shitty game being set up. Dont think miamis going 23-42 from 3 this game

No Butler, Rozier, or Wright for Miami tonight.  If Boston didn't come out and destroy them, it would only be because they still weren't taking it seriously.  Miami wouldn't have gone 23-42 last game if Boston hadn't half-assed it on defensive closeouts the whole time.

Today felt like a franchise-changing loss.  Not good.

Weren't the Cavs already in danger of blowing things up anyway, given that Mitchell hasn't expressed any real interest in getting a new contract/contract extension in place?

  15. He's over corrected his choice of teams ever since OKC was too stupid to pay some luxury taxes and keep a young core together.  It's been absolutely nothing but teams where management paid obscene luxury taxes to let him play with his friends at the expense of any type of actual drafting/development.

  16. Fuck the Lakers and Bron for trying to drag this shit out with the challenge after the game is effectively over.  Can't wait for these fuckers to get bounced again and we can stop hearing the bullshit, forced Bron-for-GOAT arguments for a few months.

Once he lost KD, Donovan's NBA record is about as  "meh" as it gets.

    image.thumb.png.637cc4f3e70242e4d1ab9c2a10beba9e.png

In his 4 years in Chicago, he has a sub .500 regular season record and 3 missed playoffs. Bulls pulled an aggy and gave him an extension after that magical run in '22. that shot of him sitting on the bench when Miami pushed the lead back to 20 pts looked he wanted to cry.

Chicago FO and ownership was/is horrible right now.  Reinsdorf is perfectly happy to continue to rake in the money from attendance and trot out a team that is 1st round fodder at best.  FO gambled big by trading for Lonzo and then giving happily handed out $200 million+ to LaVine in a desperate attempt to remain a borderline playoff team even after Lonzo couldn't stay healthy.

Donovan by no means deserves more chances, but the first ones to to should be the FO.

  18. Jontay Porter banned from the NBA.  What a brave stance by the league.  Right up there with the NCAA having the courage to level the death penalty on Southeast North Dakota State for flagrantly violating the rules by providing recruits with things like a free Subway sandwich on an unofficial visit.

    What's not to love?  Hurley,

He has a good team and is a good coach.  humility is not a Hurley-ism.  So, he and Hurleys can...  <<<<fill in the blank>>>>

Even Laettner is more likeable - and that's a stretch.

You just gave Hurley a new career goal, become more universally hateful than K, Calipari, or Self.  Tall order, but I have faith in him.

Think Cody wins but Rock stays loyal and there’s some benefit from the rules for Cody (Cena? Stone Cold?) that allows for a clean-ish win.

Depending on how much Rock wants to actually wrestle, if you have him turn on Reigns during/after the match (Cody can still win clean and Rock turns after Reigns fails to finish the job), you could have Rock take over as tribal chief, feud with Rhodes till Summerslam where Cody retains cleanly, then Rock and Reigns settle the tribal chief role at next year's wrestlemania.

Okay that Rock/Reigns v. Rhodes/Rollins tag match lived up the hype. The Rock is a physical specimen and him taking the Rock Bottom from Rhodes into the announce table was an awesome spot.

Any way Rhodes doesn't win tomorrow?  Looks like they've perfectly setup either Rhodes overcoming all the odds and Rock turning on Reigns for not getting the job done after being handed the opportunity on a platter, or turning on Reigns mid-match as payback for the spear tonight.
