31 countries where the 'American Dream' is more attainable than in the US
Perhaps it's time to turn off Fox News, get out of the trailer park, and travel a bit.
Not for the TOTAL package. I don't see any country building a wall to keep unrelenting immigration under control.

Was there a rebuttal in that statement? Name a country, that isn't a complete shit-hole, that you'd want to immigrate to the US from right now?
GB, Germany, France, Canada, hell the entire EU. Australia..................

It's really sad that there are people in the world for whom the US is still a step up from their current country.
WOW. Still the best country in the world bar none for freedom, potential to succeed in business/life.

Not sustainable. We are barreling (no pun intended----I take that back, pun intended) toward a fucking wall. If this maintains then there will be a lot of banks/financial institutions in peril.

I’ve spent most of my extended life aligned with many of the positions of the right, such as fiscal responsibility and the importance of individual responsibility for determining a persons level of success in life.
However, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and Brietbart, among others, took propaganda to a whole new level that had never really existed before, ignoring facts to simply reframe any and all issues, no matter the truth, to be in favor of the conservative agenda.
In today’s environment, Richard Nixon would never be removed from office because of the behavior of Republicans and conservatives. I never thought the party would abandon all of their true principles just to stay elected, but they did. It’s sad and despicable. And before the left gets too smug, they aren’t a whole lot better, but they haven’t completely yet abandoned morals and ethics completely. The Republicans have. And I understand those on the right who don’t see it or believe it. It’s tough to fight through all of that propaganda to find facts. It takes work and effort, and most people never do it. They just watch their Facebook feed for memes that reinforce their existing beliefs.
And finally, the other reason conservatives have their heads up their asses is because they haven’t realized that the world isn’t like it was twenty years ago. At that time, a person could afford a college education, a car and an apartment and make their way through the world. Nowadays that is extremely difficult. Those that say “welI I was able to pull myself up by my bootstraps” has not done the math lately on what it costs to survive today vs twenty years ago. Wages haven’t moved much at all for most people while costs are way higher. Facts. You should try them.Uh huh

I’m waiting to get a new vehicle (used is ok too). Not urgent but before the end of the year. When is the consensus that it drops far enough?
Remember the automakers are not producing cars now so there may not be as much of a glut as some expect. Plus the Vette C8s and Teslas of the world don’t discount much if at all.

My aunt died tonight. No one had heard from her in a few days and she wasn’t returning calls/texts., so my dad and uncle headed over to her place. She was dead. Probably covid given what they found. Collin County ME didn’t want to do an autopsy, so it will be written up as natural causes. Bad day.
So sorry for your loss.

Wouldn't any law like that need to be passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor? If that is the case then NC, MI, PA and WI have dem Governors and I doubt that a law would pass with veto-proof majorities.

The sooner we end our dependence on fossil fuels, the better. That's all I have to add.
That’ll happen about the same time as we harness fusion as an energy source.

Youth vote has been up overall.
As the actual numbers show us, they are getting up and voting by the millions. Not enough to propel Sanders to victory, but they aren't a statistically insignificant population.
I don't know who Cuomo excites that isn't already a lock for Joe.
That’s not the point. The Dem establishment knows that Joe will massively fail on live tv. They need someone safe not a grenade with hair plugs and the pin is pulled.

This is not good.
Insanely low enthusiasm among his supporters.
Also, relevant to this conversation, this poll shows 15% of Sanders supporters going to Trump. Lower than I would expect at this particular point in a hot primary, honestly. I would've expected a contraction to that 10-15% I mentioned in my earlier post to happen at the convention when some unity starts being built. Hopefully that's a good sign that the contraction will <10%?
That low enthusiasm will make the non-voter portion rise, though.
Get ready for the “Draft Andrew Cuomo” bandwagon to start gaining steam. Just by seeing what anvil Joe is doing in controlled settings, imagine him live on a stage with Trump or even with journalists. He’s a placeholder and nothing else.

Bernie needs to stay in because the way JB is looking in these soft ball interviews the wheels may be starting to wobble on the wagon. Also watch the draft Andrew Cuomo bandwagon start to gain momentum.

Yeah you're right. The US shouldn't worry about immigration since we are such a shitty country. No one wants to come here.
