The girl in the center is fresh out of law school and helping the House Judiciary draw up articles of impeachment for a criminal president.

Didn’t the girl in the center fresh out of law school also get fired from the House Judicary impeachment committee?

A nice little cross section of all the bitch-ass teams which have run away over the years, and where they finished in their respective conferences this year:

    Arkansas: 14th out of 14

    Aggy: 6th out of 14

    Mizzou: 8th out of 14

    Colorado: 11th out of 12

    Nebraska: 8th out of 14

Hope you guys are having fun!

    But, but, Long Horn Network!!!

BTW what has the revenue from all sports been at these schools since they left versus what it would have been if they stayed?

Too lazy to look up the first part and have no clue how you could calculate the second part of the question.

    OK, Cool, Hook 'Em!

It almost depresses me to think of what could have been for Young and even a guy like McNair if not for Fisher.  Seriously.  Ugh.

You got that right!   I watched a NFL coach first hand plot and execute a plan to destroy a NFL caliber QB.  It was fucking disgusting. Fisher is and was a POS.  The little shit.

It seems that the accepted coaching wisdom  --  at least at Texas  -- is to defer if you win the opening coin toss.  I guess the theory is that it gives you the chance to have back-to-back possessions at the end of the first half and the start of the second.  But each possession should have the same value, no matter when they happen, with the exception of limited-time possessions at the end of a half.  If a team receives the opening kickoff, it is guaranteed an equal number of meaningful possessions during the game, and has a reasonable chance to get one more possession.  By deferring, you are limiting yourself to an equal number of possessions at best.   In games where the teams are relatively even, or where the teams both have good offenses, one extra possession may mean the difference in the game.  If a team has a very good defense, it makes sense to defer because there is a good chance to force a punt and get good field position for your first drive.  That doesn't really apply in the Big 12, and certainly not to Texas this year.  Here are the opening drives for our games this year (without actually knowing who won the toss):

     TEAM WITH BALL FIRST              RESULT

    1. Maryland                                        TD

    2. Tulsa                                               Int.

    3. USC                                                TD

    4. TCU                                                 FG

    5. Texas (K St. game)                      Punt

    6. OU                                                  TD

    7. Texas (Baylor game)                   FG

    8. Ok. St.                                            TD

    9. WVa                                                FG

    10. Tx. Tech                                       TD

So, in ten games, Texas has kicked off in 8 of them, resulting in 41 points, with only one stop.  Texas has received the kickoff in 2 games, resulting in 3 points.  Ok. St. had 13 possessions to our 12 (excluding a drive of about a minute to end the firs half), and we lost by 3 points.  In the WVa game, they had 10 possessions to our 9, again excluding possessions of a few seconds at the end of each half, and we lost by 1.

This is magnified in the OU series.  Here are the opening drives in the last 10 games:

    2009- OU     FG

    2010- OU     TD

    2011- OU     FG

    2012- OU     TD

    2013- TX     FG

    2014- TX     FG

    2015- OU     Punt

    2016- OU     Missed FG

    2017- TX     Punt

    2018- OU     TD

OU has gotten the ball first 7 times; TX 3.  On those drives, OU has scored 5 times with a missed FG and one punt, for a total of 26 points.  (In 2012 the extra point was blocked.)  TX has 2 FG's and a punt on its game-opening drives.

Are we slightly reducing our chances of winning by deferring on the coin toss?  We are almost always starting games behind after the opening drive.  And it is a reasonable argument that the losses to Ok. St. and WVa are attributable to having one less possession.

Nice research.  I trust our offense to score much more than our defense to stop the opponent and even though there wasn’t an even number of “chances” it’s obvious we are better taking the ball first.

Yep.  Only time we ever backed into the CCG.

Another piece of trivia that seems to only happen to Texas.  Only 2 CCG MVPs have been on the losing team.  They both played for Nebraska against us.

Suh in 2009 and Evans in 1996.  Suh was a beast, our offense was garbage, and our defense was a group effort, so Suh deserved it.

Evans went for 130 yards and 3 TDs.  Priest Holmes went for 120 and 3 TDs, including the nail in the coffin.  Priest did that with only 9 touches to Evan's 32.  Evans did also add 42 in the air, but I can't think of another game ever where the losing player wins the MVP given those stats.

    Make up call?

I’m fascinated by the logistics of it all. 7,000 is a fucking lot of people walking a long ass way. Marching this number of people this far with no vehicles is an 18th century military type endeavor. How are they getting food and water? Where do they sleep at night? Not to be insensitive but I hope it’s being documented.

Where are you getting your news?   There are trucks and buses moving just about everyone plus food and water.  This “trip” is certainly NOT organic.  Not even close.

Not actually that important, but looked up my precinct (NW Houston suburbs)

    2018:

    Cruz 63.9%, O'Rourke 35.3%, Dikeman 0.8%

Okay. What’s your point?  The approximately 10% difference between the voting amounts?

When people talk like that, it's the reason why I don't vote Conservative. A huge group of them are hateful, mean and ignorant people. They were Mob before there was a mob.

So no one on the left talks that way?  I think that is amazing.  How about both sides do it and they are both wrong and idiots.

    Which accuser? Oh Jane Doe?

Her accusation was never taken seriously in the first place.

    Get the fuck outta here.

So no media published the story in conjunction with other Kavanaugh news?  According to the post above Grassley seemed to take it seriously enough to refer it to the DOJ?

We are well aware you didn’t give a shit even if every accusation was provable beyond a reasonable doubt.

New here, but that response doesn't address the story that people accusing Justice Kavanaugh openly lied.  This just feeds into Pres. Trump's narrative that everyone lied to derail the nomination since they couldn't defeat him on the merits.  Makes the dems look even worse in this situation---like they will stop at nothing to defeat Trump's nominee.

One of Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh’s accusers admitted this week that she made up her lurid tale of a backseat car rape, saying it “was a tactic” to try to derail the judge’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee revealed the fraud in a letter to the FBI and Justice Department Friday, asking them to prosecute Judy Munro-Leighton for lying to and obstructing Congress.

Mr. Grassley said Ms. Munro-Leighton is a left-wing activist who hijacked another “Jane Doe” anonymous report about a backseat rape and claimed it as her own story, calling it a “vicious assault.”

“I am Jane Doe from Oceanside CA — Kavanaugh raped me,” Ms. Munro-Leighton wrote in an Oct. 3 email claiming to have been a victim of the judge.

Mr. Grassley’s investigators tried to reach her for a month but were unsuccessful until this week, when they spoke to her by phone and she confessed that she was not the original Jane Doe, and “did that as a way to grab attention.”

    Accuser Lied
