That is as close to a furiously waved white flag as could reasonably be expected.  If this was the cost of dropping those bunker busters (without them even closing the Strait of Hormuz) this is a huge win for the US.

Wish we could drop this moron from a B-2 into Iran.

  2. I lived in West Hamstead.  London isn't actually a cohesive city, it a collection of numerous closely related cities clustered together.  Be honest with yourself about what you value (hipster coffee shops and restraunts, family friendly, closeness to work, etc.) and pick one accordingly.  Dress for the rain; when people say it rains a lot in the winter, I didn't appreciate what that actually means.  It rains ALL THE TIME.  And not like a Portland drizzle - it downpours.  Avoid renting a basement flat.  All the wind, rain and trash collects on your front doorstep.

Well, what this presupposes is that there is something these people did, before they became judges, that disqualifies them from being lawyers, and in turn, judges, that their fellow lawyers should have acted upon.

Also, Scalia doesn't really belong in that pantheon of shitheads.  As a shithead, he was a real piker compared to those other two, and Alito, and a couple dozen others you could name.

Scalia, for all his flaws, was at least intelligent.

Ackman is getting what he deserves. He waged an all out war on DEI and thought Trump would help his cause.

He's trying to give Trump an off ramp by throwing someone under the bus (probably Navarro).

Stay on the economy. Stop derailing shit.

Isn't it all connected though?  Because people have been saying these are dishonest, unserious people, who will run this country into the ground.  Jan 6, Ukrainian aid, the COVID response...it's all led us to here.  But trans kids are running track and we elected a black man, so the racists had no choice.

  6. Shoutout to Trump for not blowing up the world in order to save his ego.  Like, fuck that guy, but that's a mighty big step for him.  If its true and all.

Genuine question since we are outside the CR, do we have anyone on this board who thinks these tariffs are a good idea?

The only (colorable) arguments I've heard in favor of them are that Reagan did this shit to Japan over cars and look at all the car manaufacturing in the south now!! and that it is a brush back pitch on other countries tarrifing us disproportionately.

Fuck ya. Conwell and Davidson next pls.

Edit (derp): missed Conwell committing to Louisville. That fucking sucks.

Looks like that Indiana State pipeline is going to dry up for us.

Especially after flaking out of the East-West Shrine Bowl. 4.4 is definitely fast, but it's not rare in the NFL. It's not even rare at the Combine.

I mean, he ran the second fastest RB time at the combine. Yeah, Blues issues are well documented, but come on. It’s a good time.

Tokyo is a lot of fun and so is Osaka. If you can hit Kyoto it’s pretty awesome for traditional sites and ceremonies. Like a geisha show and tea ceremony. And their onsens are a great experience to the culture.

Shanghai is really nice and vibrant but also check out Hangzhou which is a little south of there. Marco Polo (the OG) called it heaven on earth. West Lake there is beautiful. I went many years ago and called it the Austin of China. It’s blown up now. Where a lot of great tech was born (Alibaba). Beijing is cool and the Great Wall is a must see.

Have fun…I could hit Asia every year!

We had different experiences in Beijing.  If you go to China, you need to do some advanced planning.  For example, Google (including, importantly, Google maps) is banned, and therefore you can't google what to do if there isn't google.  We used apple maps, which was shit.  There are Chinese apps, but (at least 5 years ago) none of them were in English.  Free wifi is also pretty rare there unless you have a Chinese number and it can be difficult to get cash because few of the banks will take your debit card.  I would avoid a VPN, because if you get searched in the airport, they always look for it.

I mean, there's "a bit" of racism in Spain.  Same goes for Italy.  You should see the stuff my uncle in Rome sends me.

This is 5000% true.  America has a horrible tradition of racism.  Absolutely horrible.  But what is OK to say in polite company in parts of Europe would never fly in the US.  Central and south americans can imigrate to Spain pretty easily, so there are lots of Argentenians, Venzuelans, Brazilians, etc. here.  They get tons of shit and for the most part hate Spainards.

if there's a better thread to post this plz lmk - Spain's success confirms exactly what the immigration experts have been saying about our "government's" fully retarded immigration policies.

Yes, but to be fair, the drastic amount of foreigners has not exactly gone over super well with all of the population.  I married an Espanola and live here now, and there's tons of complaining about all the migrants (who are either super poor or super rich, many of whom have little grasp of the language) either increasing crime or increasing housing/food prices.  Every silver lining has a cloud.
