I suppose you’re excluding the bonds. Now explain how him paying “fuck all” so far is due to special treatment and how anyone else would have already been made to pay.

  2. A little bit of the special treatment in the legal system:

"Former President Donald Trump claims millions of illegal votes cost him the 2020 election. However, all but three of his 64 election challenges failed. His three legal victories, all in Pennsylvania, threw out 270 provisional ballots lacking signatures, separated Election Day provisional ballots from those cast afterward, and moved back Pa.’s deadline for absentee voters to present voter ID by three days."

Back to NYC, and I'm going to go fetch some lunch:

Joshua Steinglass, a prosecutor, just brought up Hope Hicks, Trump’s former communications aide, asking about an email chain that was forwarded to her the day after the Access Hollywood tape came out. Steinglass also asks Pecker if he’s ever known Trump to use email. The answer was no (although Trump has, in the last 18 months or so, started texting with people for the first time).

A lot of key characters are being introduced right now, including Stormy Daniels, a.k.a. Stephanie Clifford, whom Pecker identifies as a porn star. Joshua Steinglass, the prosecutor, asks Pecker: “How do you know of her?” Then he laughs and says he’ll ask the question in a different way. He takes a slightly safer approach, and Pecker begins to describe how his employees came to be in contact with Daniels.

David Pecker describes an urgent call from The National Enquirer's editor, Dylan Howard, in October 2016, in which he was informed that Stormy Daniels was shopping a story of a sexual affair with Trump for $120,000.

BREAKING NEWS: Early signs suggest that Trump’s Monday night bond filing *may* have again misled the court. It says Hankey now has a security interest of $175M in “DJT Trust”—but Hankey’s Axos Bank *already* has a $100M interest in DJT Trust. Is Trump double-dipping? @KatiePhang
    Image

1/ Some wondered why Trump went to Hankey’s Knight rather than Hankey’s Axos. It certainly *could* be to swindle the court into thinking him having $175M secured with Hankey is sufficient, when it fact he likely needs at least *$275M* in that Trust to not be misleading the court.
2/ And this is early research—Axos has lent to Trump multiple times, so we’ve no idea how many times he’s used DJT Trust as liquid collateral (including any double-dipping). We *do* know Trump has Bud Light stock in the Trust, which is why he now opposes his MAGAs’ boycott of it.
3/ The documents I posted are from the website of the New York Attorney General, by the way.
4/ We also need to know if Ivanka is now (or still) a trustee of DJT Trust, as Hankey’s Axos Bank *also* lends to her spousal unit—in the form of Jared—and so one wonders if any of Jared’s loan paperwork with Axos Bank includes Ivanka’s assets, which could be more double-dipping.
5/ Is it possible that the Trump Schwab account known as the “DJT [Revocable] Trust” has the $275M *minimum* Trump needs to be in it? Uh...sure. But you certainly would *not* think it does from this 2023 financial disclosure. The math is not mathing, here.
6/ Here is the same document at the NYT. int.nyt.com/data/documentt…
7/ Okay, so this is looking very bad for Donald Trump. He says in his Monday night filing that the Schwab account has $175.3 million *in total*, so *if* Axos Bank is depending on that same account for a (semi-)liquid $100M in collateral on another loan, this bond filing is DOA.
    Image
    Image
8/ You’ve got to be kidding me. The collateral Trump says he gave Hankey a security interest in...

...is the same fund he used to pay off Stormy Daniels. So the use of *that very funding source* is the subject of a *criminal trial* right now.

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5. The 11/8/21 Letter of Interest appearing to set out possible terms for $100M loan lists the collateral as 725 4th Ave., New York, NY, which I believe to be Trump Tower. The $175M bond filings say it is secured by collateral in the form of a Schwab account with $175M in cash. What does Trump Tower being used as collateral on a $100M loan a couple years ago have to do with a Schwab account being pledged to secure the $175M bond?

It takes hours for the effects to go away....not just 1-2.

I guess you're attempting to convey that the effects of alcohol don't "go away" after 1-2 hours. That's some keen insight there. I'm pretty confident I never said anything remotely contrary to that position. You might've well just said "water is wet."

    Quote

As the alcohol goes through his blood and into his lungs it will get stronger for a short time after the drinks until it starts to reduce.

I guess you're attempting to convey that BAC increases when absorption occurs. More keen insight. I'm pretty confident I never said anything remotely contrary to the basic concept of alcohol absorption. Actually attempting to explain how three tequila shots will take your BAC from .07 to .105 an hour and half after the last shot would have been a useful post.

If you're going to quote posts, it doesn't hurt to actually address the information contained in the post. Or, don't. Either way, carry on and have a good day.

Probably a decent argument that 1.5 hours after the crash, it rose to .105 and at the time of the crash was below.

Isn't the science pretty well conclusive that one's BAC decreases approximately 0.016% per hour after a person stops drinking?  Alcohol absorption obviously varies with hard liquor and beer absorbing at different rates due to the difference in alcohol content, amount of food eaten, and how quickly the alcoholic drinks are consumed. I believe shots of tequila are fully absorbed well under 1.5 hours. At over 300 pounds and maybe he killed a number of burgers, I suppose if someone wants to argue he took shots within 15 minutes of the accident that his BAC could be higher after the actual collision, sure. However, going from .07 to .105 an hour and half after the accident seems like something a DUI defense attorney would sell.

T'Vondre was buzzed driving and got rear ended.....seems like he may have no been tested on the scene but later tested after booking where the .1 BAC was recorded. At the time of crash he may have been under the legal limit. Just really really bad luck to be hit by someone more drunk than you and that person flee. Maybe good samaritan and the later testing with a good lawyer will get this cleaned up?

Let me make sure I understand your theory here, Matlock. He was tested after booking (approximately 1.5 hours after the accident) and over the legal limit, but you think he might have been under the legal limit at the time of the accident? Are you unfamiliar with the way alcohol absortion and detoxification work or do you think the cops took out for a drink or two on the way to the station?

There seems to be the notion that keeps getting floated (not by you) that Trump is being allowed to appeal despite the deficiencies in the bond.  I wasn't aware that a bond was required to appeal.  He's appealing because he's appealing.  The bond isn't a permission slip to appeal.  If he doesn't fix the issues, James can collect before the appeal is done.  If she chooses to wait, that's her decision.

"Well, look, I already told you. Trump is getting special treatment that no one else would ever get!! I know the legal systems!! I am good at seeing the systematic abuses that the Courts let Trump get away with!!! Can't you understand that?!? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!!!!!!!"

What's the big deal, Donald?  It's only $175M  I thought you were a Billionaire.  Don't you carry this around in your wallet?

I'm just noticing the date Knight Specialty Insurance's Undertaking. I suspect if the appellate court affirms we'll hear about the "April Fool's Defense" about why it's not really owed.

Pizzaria Bianco downtown location opens at 11:00. On a Saturday, what kind of line is there at the door waiting for open? What time are people getting in line to get in the door at open?

    Dear gern,

Let me help you out on this one. On a random Saturday you may be near the front of the line at 10:15. By 10:45 you may be the 50th person in line. All seats will be taken when the doors are opened. By 11:30 the wait will be well over an hour. It will likely be the best pizza you've tasted.

    Sincerely, gern

I’ve let students take exams (regular or finals) or do speeches early a few times when I taught—one was pregnant and was having major complications (she did her exams and speech in the hospital bed), one student had to get chemo treatments and a few times it was during my class time, one student got a really good job with an oil company and they needed him to start a certain day, and one student got called to Active Duty (he was scared and started crying in front of me…felt really bad. He struggled on the major speech but was a great student. Should have gotten a B in the class but I gave him an A).
