Trump voters are locked in already. This election will be about how the normals turn out.

What a stupid fucking evil psychotic cunt whore.
Putting aside the evil of the deed, her writing this story down and not editing it out is one of the most brain dead things I've ever heard. Assuming she actually wanted to run for VP.
It's a shame she didn't wait until after Dotard picked her.

This almost makes me want to quit the NYT.

Liberals think humans are inherently good, which is why they respond to hope and inclusion. It’s a fundamental difference in how people view the world around them.
Meh, I think most humans are shitty and stupid. I'm just not a selfish, religious or classist asshole, and realize all we have is each other.

I don't really get what the relative racial incidence has to do with it. If drug screen doesn't mean abuse/neglect, why not just cite that as the reason for the change?

I assume they have ramped up the migrant fear mongering lately, as both my sister (who is usually fairly subdued about politics) and her husband couldn't help themselves on family group threads this weekend from railing about immigrants and Biden.
Oh you got that one, eh. I got the one about Biden acknowledging trans awareness day "instead of easter." I always have to meditate to withstand the urge to inform them what stupid sheep they are parroting Fox's bullshit propaganda.

I love how all the article says to describe their Medicare plan (which ultimately will raise premiums and out of pocket costs while prohibiting negotiating drug prices because they're in the pocket of big insurance and pharma) as "restructuring Medicare to compete with private options."
Not only does it fail to inform anyone on the specifics, but what the fuck does it even mean? Why does Medicare need to compete with insurance companies? This is at best an abortion of an attempt at describing the general aims of turning Medicare into "premium support." But, in reality, it's intentionally misleading. It's disgusting how this bullshit propaganda company gets away with calling themselves news while actively trying to keep their viewers uninformed.

Think how numb we all are to this, that this absolutely insane diatribe won't even be news.
If the good guys win and MAGA is defeated, and our national politics return to some semblance of normalcy (a huge if), it's going to be absolutely insane to look back on Trump years from now. If we lose shit will just get worse, though perhaps never quite as bizarre as the Trump era.
Either way, there are going to be a shitload of Trump movies and shows coming out for years.

Yeah but I don't see many put options being offered. Would be a pretty dumb bet on their part.

Is it even feasible (likelihood of turning a profit versus getting caught holding the bag) for people to make money shorting this stock. It has nowhere to go but down. So I assume it's the latter.
/I could read the "dummies" definition of shorting stock fifty times and my rudimentary understanding of the concept would barely move the understanding-needle.
Very feasible.

I think there might be a thread somewhere, but I can't find it. I saw the trailer for "Civil War" last night when I went to see Ghostbusters. Um, how supremely irresponsible is this? Do they not understand how many dipshits this is going to further radicalize? Unless there is some obvious plot dynamic wherein the right wing morons that start this "civil war" are mercilessly slaughtered, I'm not sure how hollywood thought this was a good idea.
I wouldn't worry about it. Garland is a great filmmaker. I suspect it does the opposite of glorifying anything (other than war journalists).

As much as I'd like to see him punished for this and a litany of other shitty things, after more than two decades of working for the judiciary, I can say with great confidence that judges do not consider themselves "court staff." They are the court; they are not the staff.
He wouldn't have been punished in any significant way even if he violated every point of the order to the fullest extent possible. $10k fine and double secret probation or something like that probably.

Judge was basically inviting that Dotard attack on his family by not including himself in the gag order.
I guess he didn't want to seem like a puss by including himself. Hopefully he now goes Will Smith on Dotard at the next hearing.

Gee, I wonder if there'll be an SEC disclosure of the primary investors in said filing.
We know one of them is the big TikTok investor who coincidentally visited Trump recently right before Trump did a 180 on banning that app. Nothing to see here.

Sure. I mean, isn't that how it works? Direct request, God does what you ask?
Of course, I use "pray" in the vernacular. I just hope very, very, very much, that I get a news alert on my phone that "Donald Trump has choked to death on a hamberder" or something like that. And yes, I actually hope for that, like the thought actually crosses my mind.
Read literally any account of the rise of fascism in Italy and Germany. Then read what Trump ACTUALLY says and ACTUALLY proposes. It's the same. motherfucking. playbook. Anyone who doesn't want an asshole like that to disappear from the earth altogether isn't paying attention and/or doesn't actually care about humanity. Trump is one of the worst figures in modern history. He's a fucking sick fascist fuck. And the sooner he dies, the better this planet will be. Just like Il Duce and Hitler, who improved the planet by their expiration.
I'm praying for it and I don't even believe in God. Pulling out all the stops. Of course, if there really were a just and loving God, we wouldn't be having this problem.
