    That's what I figured.  My son will be in 9th grade next year.  I know we've got a couple of years before we have to think about this, but I'll be following this thread closely.  He's a hell of a lot more intelligent and harder-working than I was at his age.  He's currently in Duke University's Talent ID Program.  Next year he'll be in IB.  I know things can change but, at this point, I'd be shocked if he didn't attend UT.  

    Just make sure he is in the top 6% of his class.  This might change to an even lower percentage when he graduates.  There have been a ton of bright kids with extraordinary high school resumes who go to highly competitive high schools that do not get into UT because they are not in the top 6%.
