I'm lucky enough to have been there for 2 practice rounds and it's funny to me to see all the people that stand and watch guys on the range for more than a couple of minutes.  With all the things to see and enjoy on that property the practice area would be near the bottom of my list.

I was there for a practice round in 1997 (Tigers 1st). I can still smell the azaleas. It was a bucket list moment for me. Still to this day of the best days of my life. I soaked in every minute.

  2. NO and FUCK NO!!

As someone that has been deployed way too many times (Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan-just to name a few) there is no reason for us to be there. Period..

We have many more options that we can provide the Ukrainians and our allies. Our boys and girls need to stay home. War destroys lives (the people fighting, their families and all of the civilians in the conflict zone) There is only 1 thing that benefits from war and 1 thing only-the military industrial complex.

Doubtful. UVA is a hard place to coach. You deal with academics like ND without the football draw.

Been getting an earful from my sis and her UVA booster friends, the sentiment is that football is overlooked and that they want a few years of "a rising tide floats all boats, i.e. academics, prestige, national perception" attention on the football program.

I heard that the Board has authorized to dumb around $10mil into the football program.

  4. I'm watching this "press conference" (it's snowing outside so I'm bored). These 3 fucks, MTG, Geatz and Gohmert are fucking CRAZY!! This cunt is hilarious to watch. When reporters call her out for her racist bullshit and her lack of intelligence she fucking goes sideways QUICK! I was dying laughing at her. It is sad that it is happening in our country but it is like watching a bad car accident happening in slow motion.

Not that I have heard. Tbh this kind of blindsided me.

Its still early and I'm sure there are higher priorities in the coaching world other than UVA lol

Edit: I think it blindsided everyone

I think he just wanted to stop. He’s 55 and has been earning a cool 3 mill or so at UVA each year. He’s set for life and so are his kids most likely (well, he is Mormon). He did OK but not great at UVA and so what else is over the horizon, he’s not getting called to coach Bama or USC, although he seemed at one point to have that trajectory. Why keep grinding if you don’t have to? I said it earlier on this thread, most college coaches don’t seem like they enjoy their job or life in general these days. There’s no Spurriers or Bobby Bowdens or Spike Dykes.

Thats my feeling about him steeping down too. He was an OK coach for us. I don't expect huge things, we aren't getting SEC talent in Charlottesville lol

    Oh wow, another one

I'm a little surprised by this as an alum. Always heard that the AD and student/athletes really liked Bronco and I didn't see him stepping down. I'm not up to date on all the inside chatter (Twitter or whatever yall use lol) of college football but I'm interested to hear if there is any chatter at UVA already? I know it early.
