They say that when you have a child, it's like having a piece of your heart live outside your body.  It certainly feels that way.

From the moment I became a father, this was my biggest fear.  My kids are all technically adults now, but I still can't imagine losing one of them.  I don't know how I would be able to function.

If I could have one wish in the rest of my life, it would be to die before any of them.  Age doesn't matter.

I cannot imagine what she is going through.

    That is my wish too

  2. My dad was married before he married my mom. He had 2 girls and 1 passed away at 3 months old. He never spoke of her but my grandmother did a few times before she passed away. Now that I'm older and wiser I can see that it really affected my dad in how he raised my brother and I and he never got over it (also he was dealing with trauma from Vietnam he never got help for). I am a dad and I will be a grandpa x2 in Sept. I could never ever imagine how I would react if I lost my daughter or my granddaughters. I would probably go insane. My heart just goes out to his Mom....

  3. I'm a big smoker. On nice days I sit on my porch (advantage of being retired) and will have 1-2 a day. I a huge fan of Romeo y Julieta 1875. Not a big fan of "flavored" smokes but I do like Macanudo coffee and the old fashioned flavor.

what’s your opinion on using mayo on the bread instead of butter to get that golden brown?  spreading mayo on instead of butter and frying that side of the bread.  I’ve never done it, and only became aware of it after reading it on a shaggy thread.  but apparently some people say it’s better, and not because they’re anti-butter.  they just say it’s better.

It is NOT better....my wife does it

My wife thinks paprika and black pepper are hot. She claims that she's become increasingly less tolerant of spicy hot food over the years, but she's always been the barely-dip-a-corner-of-the-chip-in-the-salsa type.

Our wives are from the same mold. I have to watch the black pepper in my cooking. Hell my wife will not touch salsa. At our go-to Mexican restaurant she won't do the chips and salsa they bring to the table!

I recently used it on Kenji’s green chili chicken recipe that SydneyCarton posted on page 2 of the Insta Pot thread. My wife wants me to tone down the heat of most spicy hot recipes (if you consider that recipe hot), so I usually try different hot sauces to bring it up to my desired level of heat.

I have to do the same thing. My wife can not do heat at all.

Marie Sharp's is awesome.  Got my first bottle last week.  Also went and grabbed a bottle of Lola's off this thread's recommendations.  Not my cup of tea.  The one I go through the fastest has to be Crystal extra hot.  And WillUSAF - have you tried the sauce you got, Sling Blade, yet?  Another one of my favorites. But my absolute favorite - and I think I've mentioned it here before - is Penitente, http://montezumabrand.com/new-products/penitente-tortured-soul-hot-sauce/

Yes I have. It has a bite from the vinegar up front. The heat is not immediate but when it hits it burns all the way down. It is has a good burn for Reaper sauce but it is not the hottest I have ever had. The flavor of it is really good. I would buy it again.

Is he in GenPop on a yard that's not in good standing? there are 3 or 4 in the feds... those are the yards they send all the molesters,  rapists,  high profile snitches,  and cops  to...

In the feds they have the resources to develop yards like that,  for gang dropouts, check-ins and such.

Trust me,  he's not walking a main line above low security being both a skin beef and a cop

oh im not sure. she just told me that he was in general pop....its a low security prison also

I thought ex-cops were always kept segregated from gen pop. That doesn't mean he won't receive specially treated meals from the gen pop inmates.

i have an ex-gf and her first husband was a cop and got caught banging a 16 yr old girl. He got 20 yrs in federal prison and is in general pop

How the fuck does someone kill someone and get convicted of 3 different homicides?

Does the Double Jeopardy clause apply in that state?

The second-degree unintentional murder charge alleges Chauvin caused Floyd's death "without intent" while committing or attempting to commit felony third-degree assault. In turn, third-degree assault is defined as the intentional infliction of substantial bodily harm.
The third-degree murder charge alleges Chauvin caused Floyd's death by "perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life."
The second-degree manslaughter charge alleges Chauvin caused Floyd's death by "culpable negligence whereby the person creates an unreasonable risk, and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm."

I asked that same question 30 minutes ago
