I don't think it makes any sense to say a championship game loss doesn't matter , does GT Techs loss to Georgia last week matter more than the Bama loss this week ? that makes no fucking sense
That with the complete lack of end of season spoilers elsewhere . We're were a Kansas win over Utah, auburn over Bama, Iowa over Oregon type close games away
Matt Campbell did it with far less resources to be fair, on the other side he's also got much more of a regular schedule to compete against now
Still realistically the best hire PSU could have made, though i'd preferred if they had stolen Elko for the memes
In other words moving to 16 without actually changing how the committee, bids, and selection works just leads to more of the same . there is a bit of transparency and structural problems here at play that needs to be resolved, or you know maybe its the point
not an original idea , but if you look at the top half here there's a lot of unplayed ball . ESPN would probably go bananas for an SEC Playin Day , take the top 8 by whatever agreed upon metric. highest ranking with tie breakers gets the championship and BYE into the playoffs . same number of games in general , but more teams play that last round
adjusting to limit rematch , who doesnt want to see these games (ok maybe mizzou at ole miss sucks :D)
- texas at bama
- ou at georgia
- mizzou at ole miss
- vandy at aggy
I'd be less frustrated with Texas being left out if ND is left out even if I disagree with it , fuck ND
I'm 42 , I've never cared about ND until this year. This is a program that pisses me off the playing field like no other
He didn't work out obviously , but $4M for a buyout for someone you think you want these days is about as much as a QB. Worth it IMO
I would imagine Hartlines would be more but still makes me think Penn State got some alignment problems
