I accidentally posted this to the main recruiting board with the comment that I hope we are being aggressive at WR behind the scenes.
Almost nothing has leaked out about any portal moves we’re making aside from Ewers and the LB from UNLV.
I think we’ll see Portal action heat up after NSD1

He’s well above 225.
FWIW ITs Hudson Standish interviewed after a game recently and said he is a legit 6’3” 245.
He carries that’s 245 pretty well then.

247 has McKinzie at 6-2 245, but Kenneth Murray measured 6-2.5 barefoot at the combine. Weird pic.
Rivals has him at 6-3 225

One benefit of not being in a bowl (🤮) is that sark Can put on a full courtpress for transfers without the risk of alienating a stater right before the big bowl game.
😑
Except he’s having to handle transfers behind closed doors so he doesn’t scare away any HS recruits before NSD.

1 hour ago, hook me said:Go to TTU under a first year HC w/ little to no talent around you & you can be just like Mahomes... who didn't win shit in Lubbock even with one of the better offensive coaches in the country as his HC. Is that the pitch? Even with his former HS coach that seems pretty weak.
Someone with brains please post a gif of Diggs knocking him the fuck out.

You'd have to think he'd be a candidate as well - but I know that its been reported Banks has a medical issue in his family and that he may want to play closer to home.
I wonder if Cristobal would try to take Williams to Miami with him.
I believe Texas did an in-home with Williams this week

Should be noted that 'Special Assistant to the Head Coach' is the title Jerry Kill had at TCU - so Gary P is definitely familiar with the idea.
I thought that sounded familiar to what Kill did. GP had his staff set up where pretty much his analysts or special assistants helped the coordinators create a scheme/game plan for the week while the position coaches were freed up to recruit and coach their groups.

Anyone have the war room from OB? Apparently Suchomel dropped some good nuggets on the remaining board and the transfer LB from UNLV.
He intends to visit next weekend. Everything else is typical recruit speak. Also he chose to leave cause he was tired of his teammates being content with losing like they did this year.

This guy has had a shifty year, after last year being a big target for bama. Maybe he could be persuaded to join back with his bama coaches
He’s been in Saban’s doghouse all year long.

Well he won’t have to play for free now. Who knows what the NIL thing will look like by the time he has to choose for real.
Car dealership heir?
Yes his family is the Covert car dealership family.

I hated Rattler. Just watch that Netflix deal and you'll hate him let alone going to OU. You're right though, I pretty much hate all OU players.
I thought he was an absolute prick, very happy he was going to OU. I knew the attitude issues would arise if things didn’t go perfectly for him. I only liked him cause he almost cost them like 3/4 of the games he started.

Most likely talking about the lack of talent they now have.

I have hated him his entire time at OU but he'd be a huge plus for the Texas TE room
Is there ever a player that Texas doesn’t hate at OU maybe except for Rattler?

Things are looking really good right now. UM mods are saying that Cristobal to Miami is likely to go down.
Have they fired Diaz yet?

He apparently didn't fully recover from a knee procedure he had. I'd imagine he's heading to college station.
He looked fine against OkSt

On the flip side, Coleman has had more to sell the last two years than probably any other position coach at UT, yet here he is for the second year in a row with maybe the worst haul of any position (obviously excluding Worthy). He might be a solid coach but insane level of recruiting incompetence.
Worthy was all Sark. Coleman had nothing to do with his flipping to Texas.

McKernan is a stud. If he continues on his path, he may not make it to Austin but the family seems to value academics very highly.

And Hudson just committed to TCU. This staff fucking sucks. Maybe we can fight Baylor and Tech for some recruits.
I don’t believe we were ever really going after Hudson.

To be up front, I’m waiting for another OU WR to hit the portal, everyone else is irrelevant….
Mario or Marvin?

He’s from Georgia
Pretty sure he was close to committing to UGA or was committed to UGA prior to committing to OU

Someone is going to have to refresh me or set me straight, but aren't we back to transfers not being able to play immediately with Covid subsiding?
No it’s now an NCAA rule that you can get a one-time free transfer and not have to sit out.

Nope. But if we start getting momentum of Banks and possibly Campbell committing, then it may come down to first to commit between Williams and Dewberry for that 6th spot, even if Dewberry is considered an Aggie lean at the moment.
