The funniest thing about realignment putting the SEC fully under the ESPN banner will be Herbstreit trying to maintain his "I'm a real journalist, we're not biased in favor of anyone and its outrageous that anyone would suggest that" facade.  What a pompous ass, shut up and go read the narrative the suits want you to read.

Sooo, maybe I can spoil him anyway. I showed him the Monta Noble and he was intrigued. We have an anniversary approaching so I'm filing that little bit of info away to check out as a possibility. He seems to prefer the 'plain' watches and this was the one I marked:

It's got the second hand sweep (a must) and the date (preferred).

    looks just like a datejust

I am going to miss Derka. It's clear he genuinely loves the University and his posts usually are informative. Yes, there are rants but you can gloss over them instead of making fun. It's ok if you don't agree with his takes but who is to say who is correct. Some people can't help but bully (especially on the internet) and I believe this site is set up to encourage that behavior. I also think the 🖕 reaction is offensive. We should have thumbs up and down instead.

This has pretty much always been the case for student protestors.  Largely don't otherwise have a social life so they find each other and socialize over whatever flavor of the month they decide to protest or cause they take up.  It's their version of a fraternity/sorority.

Ancient history my friend.  We haven't played since Obama's first term.

And it's nothing against the Buffs, just Prime.  Who do you think would have won between ISU and Colorado last year?

We win if it is early in the season (first 4 games).  ISU wins if it is game 5-12.

It is the fallout from the Toledo War with Ohio. Way back when Michigan was about to be admitted to the union, the border between Ohio and Michigan was not well defined, and there was a dispute between the states. Since you couldn't be admitting states with undefined borders, eventually the decision was to give the small strip of land near Toledo to Ohio, and as compensation, Michigan was given the UP. At the time, everyone thought the UP was worthless and so Michigan got the bad end of that deal, but then they realized that it was full of iron and copper.

Those "All out of Love" one-liners were damn funny.  That sketch was so close to being cut, and ended up being a long-running, multi-season 10:1 sketch.

I think somebody posted the Neil Diamond by Will Ferrell bit on the old site.  It was also a 10:1 sketch IIRC and probably sounded insane at table read.  And I can't find it online either, but fuck it that didn't make me double over in laughter when he talks about killing a hitch-hiker just to feel human again.  I think it was Tim Meadows as the band leader and you cannot honestly tell if he's about to break/bust out laughing or is just ashamed of being in such a moronically-premised sketch.  But I fucking love that one.

Speaking of breaking.  "Quien es Mas Macho" will always stick out to me because Ricky Nelson, who had no business being on the shoe.  He was a washed up singer at that point and had no comedic chops.  And the ending with ICE coming onto the set is lazy.  But there are a few minutes where Murray and Nelson don't even use the cue cards.  They nail the whole sketch, dry style.  And mind you, in Spanish.  And nobody breaks despite the absurdity and shitty accents.  It always stuck out to me as a demonstration of the absurd without being that absurd.

I hate Fox for calling it Big Noon.

Most of the country does NOT live in the Eastern Time Zone.

Think the eastern time zone is around 48% of the US population

The aggys need to re-read the reports on the bonfire collapse. I guarantee you no one read this report.

"Though its individual components are complex, the central message is clear. The
collapse was about physical failures driven by organizational failures, the origins
of which span decades of administrations, faculty, and students. No single factor
caused the collapse, just as no single change will ensure that a tragedy like this
    never happens again."
