Let me guess, you're a Madden champ?

I also am a fan of the all punt block all the time defensive strategy. But no, I just got stuck sitting next to Charlie Strong on a long flight where he explained everything he knew about offense in college football with highlights of the 2015 football season.

    Bump, for eventual relevance.

If indeed Casey does well against the Fightin' Wols, does he gt the Tceh start? If Card looks healed from his inexperience, does he get that start, or at least more PT?

I think the gameplan should be having Casey in on first down. That way Sark can see how the O-line will perform on that series. If they get blown up, keep Casey in so Card doesn't get roughed up. If they block great, put Card in for 2nd down so that he can feel safe in the pocket and show off his cannon like in practice. Once it gets to third down, if it's an easy conversion, leave Card in so IT and others can crow about his 3rd down conversion rate and boost his confidence. If it's 3rd and long, put Casey back in so that he takes the blame if they don't move the chains but roll the dice that maybe he pulls something out of his ass like Sam and Colt would do. If we go for it on 4th down, wildcat and just run into the back of the line instead of trying to do anything on the edges and save them both a hit.

  3. Those seats I believe are the "field club" seats in various promotional things. They're pretty pricey for what it is ($4,000 annual seat gift + $20,000 one time capital gift per seat). You can split the capital gift over 5 years but that's still a pretty penny to pay for what they are. I know some of the other SEZ boxes/club access are also big capital gifts but I'm not sure how many of the folks paying for other club access would opt to spend more to move over + capital gift on top without a whole lot of extra perks (which there may be but too rich for my blood!).

You n00b fucktard. pre-med is a running joke we have on this board. You ever watch Animal House?

You're fucking 10 posts in and calling me out that I am "lying and shit"?! You need to know your place before you confront anyone on this board.

I've been here for some time and ppl here know my occupation. I started off as a psychiatrist, I do addiction work, and also some preventive medicine/occupational medicine.

Good for you and sorry if I didn't catch the joke. The field takes a whole bunch of shit and psychiatrists get accused all the time of not knowing medicine and not being real doctors so I get defensive about that. Carry on. Less than 24 hours until UT football is back.

I am not here to bash on PCPs because they're front line practitioners and referring patients to specialty care (in this case, me in Psychiatry) is still a challenging process.

Wait, are you pre-med or a psychiatrist? Or pre-med with an interest in psychiatry trying to talk like you're already done? Earlier in the thread you said you were pre-med so...you know...don't lie and shit.

What do you mean by sovereign immunity as it relates to a Big 12 buyout?

But why does dragging to 2025 hurt them from a financial perspective? Zero buyout if we leave then?

With sovereign immunity - it's that the state can't do wrong and that entering into a contract does not automatically waive sovereign immunity. Most other states have waived this for contract disputes but Texas has not. When Leach was fired, he tried to sue TTU and ran up against that you can't sue the state for damages related to breach of contract. He tried to appeal up to the Texas Supreme Court and they didn't hear the case. When A&M left and Baylor threatened to sue, it was widely thought based on the the Leach/Tech case that they would not be able to get damages from A&M for breach.

The threat is then that Texas could tell the Big 12, "we're out tomorrow and we ain't paying shit" and be in obvious breach of contract but the Big 12 nor any schools could be able to sue them for damages as they could claim sovereign immunity.

And yes, if they say we're leaving but only in 2025 when the grant of rights ends then there is no buyout as there is no contract to buyout from and no media rights to forfeit for the next 2 years.
