For those who have ATT, did you disable the wifi on the uverse router/modem to utilize the google or just used it in addition?

Also did Google mesh and very please.  The first Google puck plugs into a wired connection to the Uverse hub.  I didn't bother to turn off the uverse wifi, that just has a different SSID, and I made sure none of my devices automatically connect to the Uverse SSID, so it doesn't matter that it is still on.  I believe there are pretty simple directions do turn it off if you want.

"our subscribers - are watching less"

asshattery.  if you didn't overprice your compressed HD bandwidth where fiber hasn't gotten to, if you didn't deliver cell software that drops calls regularly and malfunctions ALL THE TIME, and if you didn't act like the corporate deathstar you have become, your customers might "watch more" (i.e. not tell you to fuck off with joy after getting raped by you for decades at a time).

your customers are fed up with your bitchassedness, and laugh at your leveraged debt position.

fuck you, and fuck ajit pai.

What are you babbling about?  How is anything in this post related to the relative viewing audience of one channel versus another, which was the point of what you quoted?

  3. I had one clearly the other guy's fault, but eventually had to go through my insurance company when the insurance he gave me said he wasn't a customer.  Like others said I had to pay $500 to the body shop, but my insurance company set me up with a rental car, and that was seamless.  Eventually my insurance company gave up trying to subrogate (even though I had a police report showing other guy was at fault and a picture of his driver's license, dude was driving a rental car rented by someone else, so they could never find HIS insurance) and sent me a check for $250 (i.e., half the deductible).  I suspect that isn't a universal feature of all insurance policies, but was a nice surprise.

EDIT: When I sold the car nine months later I was told that they had to significantly discount what they would offer given the repair work.  So if you eventually get through to their insurance company and the car isn't totaled, apparently you can demand the loss in resale value in addition to the repair costs.

  4. PARKER COUNTY

A wedding photographer was arrested Saturday night after authorities say she had sex with a wedding guest at the ceremony, urinated on a tree near the event and threatened deputies as she was being taken to jail.

The suspect was identified as Katherine Leigh Mehta, 26, of Arlington.

A security guard, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy, reported wedding guests had found Mehta having sex with a wedding guest in a room at the venue, according to an arrest report obtained by the Star-Telegram on Monday.

Sheriff Larry Fowler said Mehta was a wedding photographer.

Mehta left the room, walked to a fountain and began to yell.

She then went to a nearby tree and urinated, according to the warrant.

She was placed in a patrol car, where she reportedly threatened deputies as she was driven to jail.

As she sat in the back seat of the patrol car, Mehta told deputies, “Y’all families will be dead by Christmas, Y’alls daughters are dead. My dad is going to find out about this, and y’all are (expletive) dead. D-E-A-D.”

I was over there as well.  Truthfully, there were some pretty good folks at Hornfans.  I had not been a poster over there too long as I recall it when I learned a niece of mine was cutting herself.  I had never heard of that before and couldn't comprehend why a 12-13 year old girl would cut herself.  I asked for some advice and got some very good and insightful advice/help/information that I could relay to my sister.

I left there and went to the shag basically because of the same reasons everyone else did -- getting shutdown or yelled at by the mods for some fairly mundane stuff.

This is all true.  I was there and my mom was in some kid's book writing contest, got everyone to vote for her.  She's now had like five books published.  The deletion of the Ponzi scheme with gold pushed me over the edge.  I remember the first two years of viewing Shag (not NSAA) at work terrified me.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone can have interest in listening to two strangers talk or debate about sports.  I mean I get listening to something local like UT sports or The Ticket (for Dallas sports), but why would anyone care what some random douche from Boston thinks about Lebron James?  Even if you’re a Cav fan and are interested, do you really sit through 45 other mins of talk about non-local or non-favorite teams?

I don't think you meant your comment this way, but you explained why I liked Mike & Mike.  I have no desire to listen to anyone on the radio talk about my team.  I've got message boards for that.  And I don't want to hear moron callers or moron local hosts talk about the longhorns.  To quote Ron Swanson, "I know more than you."  Mike and Mike was great because it was an inch deep and a mile wide.  Just national guests talking about national topics.  I try to listen to Wingo & Golic because the other Houston options are not great--John and Lance are the best of the bunch, but still don't entertain me a ton, Josh Innes will not get a minute of my time, and I don't care about the Texans, so 610 is out--but it's just not that good.
