I disagree.. we will be the #1 target in the SEC for the sake everyone will want to take down the blue blood trying to crash the party. Imagine Arkansas but every road game.

Every school in the current SEC is going to see the horns and the Sooners as step children and treated as such.  It might take up a decade before established conference members either as a full fledged peer.

This year couldn't have gone worse or shown less promise, but I'm of the "just let him ride it out" mentality. We fire him in 2-4 years rinse and repeat, we'll never get anyone decent to come here ever again.

Bingo!  But will the horn fans show the patience needed to follow that process?  Will the president and the AD show the will and stand up against the fanbase and give Sark his 4-5 years?

And yet when Mack was recruiting like a madman, we put up more wins that any other school (not named Boise St) in the '00 decade. We won one national title, would have one another without Colt getting hurt, and were a couple of bounces away from a shot at a couple of others. All of this with a second tier belief structure and business model. Makes complete sense to me.

Could have 1 another one not would have another one.  You know what assuming does to oneself.

Wikipedia is not a credible source because I could have just rewritten that article to tell vulcan-halfbreeds to mind their own business!   Lulz.

Nor did I say Wikipedia is factual just quoted what they reported.  Duh!

Red River Shootout since WWII OU 39-Texas 35-3 ties.  Last 7 OU 6-Texas 1, last OU 16-Texas 7.  Having been attending this game since 1961 I know to relax as this series has always been about streaks and the horns time will come.  Just hopefully not in my lifetime.

P.S. trying to insure your happiness is part of my business.

Then it’s just simply the agreement in place I guess

I cannot tell you how each team initially got their end of the Cotton Bowl for seating but per Wikipedia it has been optional since 2007.  They state:   "Beginning in 2007, the teams have option to alternate North and South ends of the field, thereby giving the home team fans the seats adjacent to the tunnel leading to both teams' locker rooms.[29] However, Texas has declined to exercise its option to move to the south end each year in which they have been the designated home team. However, former Texas coach Charlie Strong said he would favor Texas fans being in the south end zone during their home games."

consolation prize:  5* spencer rattler seeing the foreboding reality of having to transfer to Oral Roberts University because he's getting booed on by the fans and outplayed by a freshman

What can I say the Horn fans loudly chanted a College Gameday "We want Caleb, we want Caleb" and you got what your asked for.  Sometimes that bites you in the backside.  I guess we will focus Spencer game toward making 2 point conversions going forward.  At least until 5* QB Malachi Nelson arrives in 2023.

But relax Sark is no Strong or Herman and he knows how to lead the horns for their impending entry into the SEC.  Something I am not so certain Lincoln is ready for.

Spent the last 24hrs thinking about this game and it truly is such a bummer.
Their QB was throwing up punts and the secondary couldn’t ever turn around, Running the KO from 3yds deep then fumbling, stupid false starts on OL (the fucking center no less). Just so many step on your dick moments that took away a W that was sitting there to be had.

just a mess. Need to see how Texas responds vs OSU. I’m definitely worried about this team’s mental toughness.

You should be fine against the pukes a you should be capable of out scoring them.  OSU is scoring only 25 points/game and averaging only about 378 yards of total offense.  But their defense is very strong allowing only 18 points/game.

if it was just confusion that would be ok because hopefully that's coachable but it's not, it's getting manhandled man on man  and guys blowing through double teams. We are laughably weak.

Going to that pre-snap confusion is a practice the Sooners have used on every snap this season.  It is their M.O.  The horns had ample time to prepare.

What's nuts is I think Mims was a 3*, too. Their WR coach is easily top 3 best in the business. We have Andre fucking Coleman. Lulz

Mims was a 4* per 247Sports and did set the Texas state record and broke the national record in receiving yards at Lone Star high school in Frisco, TX.  But was not extremely highly recruited ranking only as the #29 WR nationally.  Also reported to have adequate but not great speed but proven at the D-I to be an outstanding vertical receiver that averaged 16.5 yards/reception in 2020 on 37 receptions  and 21.1 y/r on 19 receptions in 2021

This coaching position seems cursed.  You couldn't have asked for a better resume on someone who's done it this long in PK and now this?  I'm convinced Sark could have brought in any of the other names mentioned for DC ( Barry Odom, Arnett, Golding, Muschamp, Dan Lanning, ect. ) and nothing would change.

How about the coach Sark tried to hire?  Mike Stoops before fan interference.  Just funning don't take it personal.  We couldn't fire Moops quickly enough.

Is the HC not responsible for all of that?

No question Caleb threw a couple of jump balls but Mims short history has proven time and again he wins those 50/50 passes a great preponderance of the time.  And as long as he does OU will keep throwing them to him.  It is what it is.

Overreaction? Lmao. OU has dominated us for so long now but sure, it's all overreaction. Your same sentence was said for both Strong and Herman when people could see they were frauds early on. Sark will join the ranks. We will be looking for a new coach in 3 years and OU will continue reloading year after fucking year.

Well from 2010-2021 the count is OU 10 wins and you 3 wins.  But history says the pendulum always swings as the record since WWII is nip and tuck series  with the Sooners 39 to Horns 35 with 3 ties.  At my age (78) I might not be around when the Horns again get control of the series.

I do think you got the right man in Austin after Strong and Herman were bust.

    Sorry, Sark, but fuck you.

    I officially abandon UT athletics.

I’m not sure anyone associated with UT athletes has a clue how to do their job. They just raise prices every year and call themselves “marketers.”

    2005-2021= much humiliation.

The players now get paid huge money and not a one of them could pray to be qualified for the big money position of sniffing Lincoln Riley’s jock.

Sorry, UT athletics, Its not just that you can’t deliver anything but loses, it’s just that you are losers.
