If that is indeed what he's doing (I have no idea, could be a funeral for all I know) it doesn't seem like a smart move in a contract year. Not just a contract year but one in which he hasn't locked down his spot in the 2 deep...and the portal exists. Jmo

Of course if the game gets rained out it won't matter, but still not a great look.

Maybe he wants to celebrate his wedding anniversary on draft day next year

Interesting choice of majors.  Have we ever recruited any Native American football players?  Not even sure if football is popular among Native Americans, but if there are maybe he could help in that area.

No offense, but why do you say that?  He only has 3 years of experience actually coaching, the other 8 years have been as an analyst.

He's mostly worked under PK, so I think he's probably a good add, but Kenny's resume, as sparse as it may be is better than Huppert's.

We need a Sitting Bull at defensive tackle.  Sark is playing 4D chess.

Michigan fan/alum here. I think I am in the supermajority of us that are like "hope he stays but, if not, thanks man. Go get a Super Bowl unless you play the Lions." The feeling walking out of NRG last week was the same, but with overwhelming euphoria. Hasn't changed much since and I am a degenerate message boarder and text threader.

Not too worried about the second NSD, either. Almost all of the key plays from the defense are back next year (safeties, CB1, DTs, etc.), the OL ran 2-deep with high-level players, Donovan Edwards/Mullings will be great at RB. Only questions will be CB2, QB, and potentially WR with some unproven guys there. If we get a transfer portal QB or Orji steps up, offense should be fine enough to win around 10 and make the playoff and then flame out.

Really looking forward to playing UT next fall. We owe you for the "Holy shit this Vince Young guy is gonna be something next year" Rose Bowl game, and My BIL is a UT alum and is flying up from Austin to A2 to watch with me.

You forgot the scenario that your players portal out when Jim leaves.  Your best DT for a lambo!

Taafe was our best safety and most likely a backup next year. One of Barron or Mukuba will be at safety and we'll have a 2nd year Derek Williams. So if you take this guy it's mostly likely in place of Derek Williams and then you risk Williams transferring for a 1 year rental. Just don't think the upside is worth losing Williams and all that money that could be used to shore up the DT spot and TE.

Starting 5 DBs of Barron, Muhammad, Mukuba, Williams, and either Washington Muhammad or Brooks looks pretty salty. Way better than last season.

I thought Caleb Downs is a true freshman this year.
