Even Bama knows the refs blew the intentional grounding call:

Now that everyone has calmed down- what’s the conspiracy with Alabama and refs?

First off let me state if I were a UT fan I’d feel cheated by the refs today. I still don’t know what tf happened with that safety.

Second, apologies to A&M fans. I know UT’s performance has y’all super insecure of your future in the conference and your in state rival.

All that said, this board got super emotional once again today about the refs always cheating for Bama. I’m not even taking a stance on that, that’s not the point of the thread. What I want to know is, WHY? And HOW? Why do the refs cheat for Bama? What’s the conspiracy? I will point out that the talking point here, ALWAYS, has been that Bama paid SEC refs and the only time their games were called fair is when out of conference refs called the game. Well, the Big12 called the game today. So what is the conspiracy? Does Saban pay ALL refs or just the SEC refs? How much do you think he pays to have the games rigged? Does anyone else do this or is it just a Bama thing?

Any responses to this thread screaming something like “those damn refs cheat for Bammer!!!!” is irrelevant- that’s not what we’re debating. Again, I just want to understand why you think this is happening, and who all is involved. No one ever seems to have the balls to take a stance on the underlying nature of this problem. Anyone? “

UT is leaving the Big 12.  They have no incentives to help UT in this game.    Also, Big 12 referees have screwed us over in the past in our games at DKR.   Ie. the fumble against Okst.

  2. Alabama’s last loss to Non power 5 was to ULM in 2007.  We have just defeated the same War Eagles last week.  Our only loss to Bama was in the 2010 national championship game. We all know how it has gone since that fateful day for both teams. The universe is realigning itself.   UT 38-Alabama 35 through a Auburn field goal.

    Believe it.

Do we have 4 WR commits? Or are some of you guys just lumping Hale in there? That recruitment is far from over.

I've not viewed this WR haul as some amazeballs group, personally. I hope they turn out awesome, of course. Wilson was a target of Marion before he got here, so that's always made me feel good. Cook and Niblett are always accused of having weak hands, so if that goes away this year for them, fucking awesome.

I know this, it would be great to land Hale too. We are going to need two of them to hit big time, because the portal competition for WRs is going to be absurd every cycle. It would be nice to homegrow a few top WRs and keep them.

Taking things for granted again. Never change, Surly!

Oh boy, popular CFB recruiting YouTube channel, Sharpe Sports, just dropped this video:

He bases his opinion in this video heavily off rewatching the UT spring game.

I believe Burke and Watts started game 1. That eventually became Brown and Burke. That would leave me to believe the staff thought Burke was better and he replaced Watts. That assumption is based on many believing Brown and Banks would have been the starters, if healthy. Brown came back and Watts, no longer started. Logically that would make the  pecking order Brown, Burke, and Banks as the top 3 and WaTts at 4. If you want to say it was Brown that replaced Watts, that is fine. The point that a freshman replaced his importance at CB still remains. It also interesting that Watts didn’t see the field vs Oregon.  He was moved to safety after Proctor’s injury vs Oregon, but I am not sure Banks was back for game 3, perhaps you know. Like I said, my original post was factual. If you want to add nuance to it, feel free

For a second, I thought Ethan Burke will be our starting EDGE in the first game.  The guy gained weight this fast.  It might lead to shrunken wingspan syndrome.

Where’s @Bamboozled73 when you need him? Is aggy pushing all their backup options to commit all part of Jimbo’s brilliant pool party plan too? First it’s Samu, next will be the DL they processed out of the class earlier this year. Then they’ll follow that up with that shitty OL. We’re about to see a lot of settling, which is something very familiar to aggies.

You misinterpreted my post.   Jimbo is operating with less resources than last year. He went all in on Hill ; thus, they only got him to commit at the pool party.   Dalton Brooks was probably a hard lean/silent for months.  I didn’t say that it was a brilliant plan.  Jimbo is doing with the resources he has this year.
    Anyway, it’s only my interpretation.
How else could you explain the invite list from this year vs last?

That calls for planning, foresight, and Machiavellian scheming heretofore unseen in the greater College Station area.

    But thanks for playing…

They probably learn from last year’s pool party.  They did pull a lot elite guys, but they also spent a lot and attracted all the attention.

  8. The main objective for the pool party was Anthony Hill, the perceived missing piece.  They probably did not want Gullette, Hicks, or other elite defensive players there at the same time to drive up the bidding price on each one.  Gullette was asked to come later because they thought they had created enough momentum with Hill.  That’s my interpretation of the events.

I want to clarify for those that didn't listen that Pate did not name USC/Addison, A&M, or Texas. He was talking about things in general. His descriptions match with our understanding of things at these schools, but I don't want this board to run with his info in a way that he didn't intend.

    Thank you for sharing.

Just to confirm. This board does not speculate.  All information is verified by Facebook fact checkers before they are viewable to general public.
