Finally got some work done on my 2021 SR5. Went from stock tires (275/55/r20) to 285/60/20 BFG K02’s and a leveling kit. Was thinking about a higher lift but am happy with how this looks.

  2. The caramel Tecovas Jason with the Rubber sole are my favorite boot right now. I get compliments on them all the time too. I will say: I had the same pair about a year ago and noticed part of the sole was coming loose after about 4 months of wear. I emailed Tecovas and they asked almost no questions. Sent me a box and replaced them for free.

  3. Boise State is going to be the top group of five team. They return a lot and get Malachi Nelson.

I think SMU also is a "surprise" their first year in the ACC. They have a LOT of good portal transfers coming in.

For us, I am confident Sark knows what he is doing. We will need some youngsters to step up in certain positions.

And if you guys aren’t looking at 6.5 grendel you’re missing out.

Agree 100%. I've had mine for some time now and I still love it. Finding ammo in store can be a little tricky depending where you live, but I love mine. I have a AGM Rattler TS25-256 thermal on it and have killed lots of hogs and coyotes. Easy to shoot, can reach out and touch someone at longer distances if needed. Low recoil. I also can't say enough good stuff about the Rattler. There are more options out there I know, but at the time i was on a budget. I researched all of the thermals I could possibly buy and this one was the one. I love it. My buddy who uses a lower range Pulsar Thermion swears my image "looks" better. If you are looking for a budget-friendly thermal I'd suggest AGM. NOT ATN :) The price is right on those but I've heard of several issues including difficult customer service.

    Monday’s gun gifts…
Identical CZ75 Compact 9mm pistols for my two older sons.
Ruger Max 9mm for granddaughter’s fiancée.
Extra magazines for all three guns.
Two boxes of 9mm range ammo for each gun.
(They can buy their own self defense ammunition- that’s a personal choice).

  6. I think the only reason Washington's final possession was seen as "bad" was because of the injury which stopped the clock earlier. You wouldn't kneel the ball if you know the clock wouldn't totally run out. That would worse than trying to run the ball. If the RB broke one for a first down it def would have sealed the deal. Man, I keep replaying that game in my head and even with Penix playing LIGHTS OUT we were right there. Those two fumbles really really hurt. I don't think it was "us losing the game" though, they are a great team. Bralen Trice was just as good for them as Penix was imo. Our passing game never looked right because of him and the pressure they put on. I love Sark and his ability to call plays, but we DEF got outcoached. Just see all of the batted down passes. They saw a small thing they could exploit and they did. It mattered. Anyway, kind of rambling. Hard to end the season on a loss but I am glad it was in the CFP. :/ I guess.

  7. I think it was “simple” to see.
Penix was a beast and so were his WRs. They played lights out. Most of those big plays our DBs were right there. Uggh. Our offense started slow and the two fumbles really really hurt us. Hard to watch. Not really over it but oh well.

  8. This past July, traded in my F-150 a used 2021 Toyota Tundra. I looked at the new body style, but I have always been a fan of the 2nd gen body. I wanted something that looked good and would be reliable. All I have read/heard about he 5.7L V8 was "hell of an engine", "will last forever", etc. Only drawback is the gas mileage, but I don't drive a truck to save gas. :) This is how she looks now...going to install a leveling kit soon and possibly go from the 20-inch wheels to 18.

  9. Michigan has a great defense, fairly "bleh" offense.  Bama has a fairly "bleh" offense and a pretty good defense. Seems like a perfect matchup to me. I think McCarthy is ok for Michigan, but he isn't a gamechanger. He was very average vs Ohio State and Iowa, the two best defenses he played this season. I think Milroe will use his legs A LOT this game and lead Bama to the win.

    Alabama 27
    Michigan 20

  10. I am torn. I have thought all year that Quinn isn't ready for the NFL. He still does things that make you say "not ready". I also think his experience will help a young WR corp next year. That being said, I really want to see what Arch can do when he is QB1. Love that he can run, I think that is a CRUCIAL quality to have for a college QB. When Quinn ran this year, he was even more dangerous. After his injury he hasn't run as much and you can tell. We are in a no lose situation really.

  11. It’s like Dusty was telling Pasch last night—if you’re going to use that argument (Alabama is better now than in week 2) and not give Texas credit for going in to Tuscaloosa and beating then, then what is the point of playing those types of games?

I have to say, Dusty is really good at his job as an analyst. He’s a sooner, but is about as real and straight forward as it gets. He could easily bad mouth Texas (like Tillman) but he doesn’t. Props to him for being a pro.

  12. Some of y’all act like there isn’t another team playing out there. Kansas State is a well-coached team with a good D and experienced qb. They were punched in the mouth early, stumbled, but came fighting back. I’m sure our guys wanted to put this game away, but again, there’s another team doing all they can to keep that from happening. Throw in some bad mistakes, bad calls/no calls and you got a recipe for a close game. We are 2-0 with our backup QB starting. I’ll take that all day. Gotta focus now on winning the next 3 games and making dreams come true. I think we can.

Picked up an Orient Ray Raven II as a daily “why not”?” Came with a black metal band but I wanted to see what this leather strap looked like on it. Really really like the face of this watch. It’s my first Orient. f9d0ab79e727db9327039e22b646896c.jpg

Update: LOVE this watch. It’s become my regular wear. I put it on a black Barton rubber strap. LUM is great. Movement too. The second hand has an orangish red tint that really pops. Love it.
  14. No caimans, but the Tecovas FQO (pecan) are great. Very comfortable and true to size.
Order a pair or two and if you don't like them for any reason send them back for a refund. I ordered two and sent back the one that didn't fit as well, and got my refund back in short order.

I’ve got the Tecovas Jason (caramel)with the rubber sole. Never had so many compliments on a pair of boots. They are comfortable too.
  15. Will the rest of the season be like Mack era post ou losses, or will we be the same ol Texas from the past decade? Hmm. Make me a believer again boys. There is still ALOT to play for. Playoffs can still happen if we go undefeated. Just focus on getting to Big 12 title and winning that. The rest will take care of itself.

Side note: I’m still not over the loss.

  16. We got outcoached and outplayed. No doubt. DB hit in Jatavion was perfect. Gabriel able to make plays with his legs killed us. Then the goal line play calling was abysmal. But, showed ou was outplaying us. Saw someone tweet: “sark gambled that Texas was tougher and he lost”. Yup
