  1. Question for you all. I saw a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with 139,000 miles for sale for $25k. Seems a little high, but my question was this: Should I be concerned with the 139k miles? Is reliability on these Jeeps something to worry about? I have enjoyed looking at this thread, y'all are making a strong case for me to get a Jeep!

  2. I thought we were only talking about american football. I do really like Arlo White on the Premier League broadcasts. My most underrated, no one talks about guy on TV? Brock Huard. I think he is really good as a color guy for Fox. No silly bits. Just straight up analysis. Anyone else?

$150 / acre for NE Texas?   Seems way overpriced.   Perhaps because it’s a small parcel and an owner looking for a porkchop?  Is that a turnkey operation with blinds, feeders and corn service?

Price tag seen in S Texas brush country is $12-17 / acre; however, larger tracts with year round access and lessee provides all the FF&E

It is crazy. But, it was a year long lease and you could do whatever you wanted to do. From what I remember there was ONE stand on it but you could add feeders etc. I saw another recently in Gregg County. 43 acres for $4500 as well.

  4. Do any of you ever use those "hunting lease" sites? I have joined one and am waiting to see what happens. I have also made about 20 bookmarks of the timber company lease sites. I have NEVER had a lease of my own, usually just have friends/family who let me go to their land. I am a little leery about some of these posts/sites I see, but am hoping if I see one I like it will be with no issues. I live in the Tyler area so any leases I have seen around here are EXPENSIVE as hell for very little land. Earlier this year I had a guy say he had a 30 acre lease near Athens for $4500. For me that is ridiculous, but from what I hear, pretty normal for around here.

  5. This thread inspired me. I posted a Casio I bought a couple of weeks ago on Amazon. Was about a $100 watch. After posting on this thread and reading through it I decided to return it to Amazon and get something that I have always wanted. Shipping says it should get here today. Seiko Samurai Prospex SRPF03. I can't wait.

Will a grand or 2 get anything worthwhile?  Wanting to start with something relatively inexpensive just to see where to go from there...

How is ATN? I noticed they just opened a store in the mall, is it worth giving them a look?

I have never used ATN, but I have heard don't waste your time from a few people. The price is nice on them but both former users had issues and they said customer service was bad. If you want a budget-friendly thermal look at AGM. Similar name, better product. Also the Bering Optics Hogster (Over $2,000) is good and their Stimulus is their cheapest one available at around $1500. I'd go with BO or AGM before I would ATN. But again, I have never used ATN products.

Without going back through everything, what is the best bang for the buck optic for shooting hogs at night?  Have a problem I need to remedy.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it on this thread, but I use the AGM Rattler TS25-256. It is on the "lower" end of thermals at about $1200, but man, it is great. My buddy uses a Pulsar (not sure which model, but it is one of the lower end ones) and he swears mine looks better. The Rattler is small, easy to use and looks great. I will try and post some video here.

If we finish the regular season 8-4 and win our bowl game this season has to be considered a huge success.

Meh. Definitely better than last year, but having a chance to go to the Big 12 championship and totally crapping the bed offensively just means we are still the same "team" with better players. I dunno. Hoping Sark is better in year three.

So what’s the reason for this loss? Keep in mind the refs love screwing us. Outside of shit refs: Sark’s inability to adjust in the second half. Sark is blind. Needs an OC in the worst way. Ewers may be Fool’s Gold. He needs to bulk up, study the playbook and practice his ass off. He’s not making big NFL money. Period. Not at this rate. Refs are POS. Defense played well considering. Can’t hate on them. Seven Win Steve SarkLostAgain strikes again!

Refs made maybe one bad call. Sark is Sark. Ewers is NOT what we hoped for. Simple as that. Defense played good enough for us to win, and we won’t. Side note: What a waste of Bijan.

  10. Gotta put in Card. Quinn has been very bad the last few weeks. It’s time to take off the Burnt orange colored glasses. everyone can see it. Let Card come in and try and light a spark. It really couldn’t hurt. Yes, the receivers have dropped two passes but the rest has been almost unwatchable. This TCU defense is not great but we are making them look like it. Beyond frustrating.
