Spent some time in a vendors shop in Lafayette on one of the lead hands had a blow device on his truck from a dui.  Said his kids fought over who got to blow into it after he’d drink a few beers at dinner at the restaurant.  I’m sure just about any tech put on a car with have a defeat solution to it pretty quick.

That's why they started putting the cameras in with the interlocks, to stop people from doing this

I’m a licensed attorney with a DWI conviction and a first degree felony deferred adjudication on it record.
Got licensed with no probationary period (brief hearing required). Now I’m actually a prosecutor.

DWI is widely considered a crime often committed by “people that aren’t generally criminals”.

Was the felony from the dwi or something else?

how do Mavs fans feel about Tim Hardaway JR?  Well liked, average, overrated?

I like him but he's overpaid for one major reason in my opinion and that's inconsistency. He seems like he's either on fire or just disappears. I always feel like he should be a better player in this league than what he is.

Well... that might be right but that's a different matter entirely. I'm not saying Canada does or has ever done it right when it comes to anything. Just saying I bet they have less drunk driving accidents with more punitive sentencing. i.e. if you want to reduce those incidents in the US maybe try something like that instead of having machines start enforcing the law.

(Think about how bullshit red light cameras are and how many issues they've caused)

Oh I agree, I was just curious if you or anyone else knew the answer.

Unfortunately I'm not sure that stricter punishments would even do much good, especially given the very nature of the crime of drunk driving. Most people would choose not to drive drunk except that they are already drunk, and when you're drunk you make stupid fucking decisions. The penalties are already pretty fucking severe, so I'm not sure that making them stricter would work.

You unsurprisingly completely missed the point of my post. I'm not advocating for the right to drive drunk. I'm making the point that having robots determine what humans are and aren't allowed to do based on sometimes subjective biometric data is not an idea I'm particularly comfortable with.

What are Canada's per-capita statistics for drunk-driving fatalities compared to the US? I'm guessing it's less.

I've heard you can't even enter Canada with a dui conviction. Anybody know if that's true?

Cincy might be outmatched in this game but you know what, according to the score, so was Georgia when they played Bama. The Bearcats still deserve to be here. Their 13-0 season earned them that right.

The no-rematch bullshit is just that, bullshit.

UGA should be the 4 seed as the non- conference champion participant.

My opinion on this won't change regardless of the final outcome of this game.

I could not agree more and you, me and everybody knows why they split up the 2 SEC teams in the bracket.

And since we are on divisional round failures and key points, how about the 2016 Packers game....

    1. On our last drive where we tied it on a long FG, we picked up a 1st down and were moving and had GB on their heels. And what does Garrett do? Calls a fucking spike. Kills all sense of momentum, we lose a down and are now behind the chains. You should have had 2 plays called and got up and called it and kept moving. Next play was a dumb ass short pass that went nowhere and boom, we go from 1st and 10 and moving to win that game to now 3rd and long. Settled for 3. Never saw the ball again.

    2. On GB's final drive to win it, right before the play that killed us, someone came off the edge and had a clear shot on Rodgers. He laid a good pop on him and the fucker did not fumble at all. We had a player standing there for an easy scoop and score had he fumbled.

    3. Both of Crosby's FGs looked missed off his leg. He had some crazy ass hook on both of them. Remember, when we tied the game the first time, they tried a 56yd FG. It looked bad off the leg and then hooked in. We get the ball back after that miss, we could of put that game away.

Seems like we've got some payback to dish out to the Packers

Forget about the Dez' catch the real turning point in that game was DeMarco's fumble. Not only was it a momentum changer, but Murray was going to go 59 yards on that run and put us up 21-10 in the 3rd which would've given us a 2-score buffer for the exchange of TDs between the 2 teams over the next few drives.

Could've sworn the Rodgers on one leg game was during the 2016 season playoff game with Dak at the helm?!?!?

This. DeMarco would have been gone to the house. That game was far from Romo's fault
