  1. Just got home after flying back from a weekend in Austin and am catching up on the last several hours.  Reading Caddox's post all I can say is BS.  This doesn't sound like the response of Urban Meyer.  The stress of the negotiations isn't going to shut him down.  Perhaps I'm just way to hopeful, but this sounds like CDC has stressed to all the insiders that we need to give the appearance that for now at least discussions are off with Meyer while we still have another coach under contract.  And I think the magnitude of this potential hire is finally enough to get all the insiders on board and unified.  If we truly reached out to Meyer as much as a month ago and he expressed interest in the job as has been reported, then until we announce Herman is coming back or he's fired and another coach is under contract, I'm betting Urban is still our guy. Perhaps I'm going down with this ship, but I'm riding it to the finish

    I’m with you. I think it’s a delay tactic.

  2. Any particular reason over another as to why? Not wanting to fly, parks possible still closed, restaurants, etc?
I am about 98% for sure going in June. Even if I do nothing it will be worthwhile to be out of the humidity.

We were flying into Boise (check out the blue turf) and drive over, but Idaho has a 14 day quarantine going on that started a week ago. So I flipped to SLC, they have a travel declaration you have to fill out which isn’t a big deal. Wyoming is making non-residents buy a year fishing pass instead of a day pass too which I think is BS.

We had the chance to back out now and get everything fully refunded and move on instead of being in limbo the next 30 days. We didn’t want to get a week out and shits still shutdown or they put a self quarantine in place. The lady at our VRBO said of the National Parks open up the middle of May, everything else should follow.
  3. We are still booked for Jackson Hole on June 15th. Everything is refundable so just waiting it out. We plan to fly into Boise and then drive to Jackson. After a week there, fly out of Salt Lake back to San Antonio.

Looks like we would have to fill out a travel declaration entering Utah is all I can find right now. I doubt we make the trip but it’s still on the books.

  4. I’m still planning to go to Jackson Hole for three weeks at the end of June.

One concern is if the national parks will open up at all by then. Won’t really matter though since the main reason to go is to get out of the humidity.

We are scheduled for Jackson in mid-June. Our VRBO pushed back 100% refund till
5/17 (month out) and everything else is refundable. The one thing I read today is we would have to buy a annual fishing permit for $110 a person instead of a day pass for $14. We have a fly fishing day planned, but not sure I’m into a $900 trip for one day.

I’m going to give it till Mid-May before I pull the plug. The wife said it’s done but I’m still holding out hope.
  5. We have done Alamo Cafe several times. They have an awesome chicken strip dinner that comes with 16 tenders, fries, a dozen tortillas, a bag of chips, queso, salsa, bbq sauce, and gravy for $29.99. We added a salad to make me feel better about myself.

Yesterday we took a drive to Blanco and ordered a pizza from Blanco River Pizza Company and then took the backroads home.
