can't leave Mahomes with 34 seconds left. Have to get the first down.

Missouri is on their third string quarterback.
ok. never mind.

the one thing I have not seen discussed is Aggy being told how great they are for two solid weeks before going to play #19 Missouri.
Age could lose. Have no idea how that would impact our game against Aggy.

What the fuck are you yammering about?
How many teams go the playoffs? 12. Is our goal to be in the playoffs? Do we need to be close to the top 12 to get into the playoffs? Yes.
You don't magically jump into the top 12 when you are hanging out at #17-20 throughout the month of November.

#9, #10, and either #14 or #18 teams lose. If we had any semblance of a killer instinct our win would have been about a 14 point victory over #9, and we would most likely be ranked about #12-14 come tomorrow night. Instead we eke out a 3 point victory and end up about #17 at the highest, imo.
This team is only going to the playoffs one way, we win all three games remaining.
The one really positive thing about this weekend is the players are going into the bye week and they will not be told how great they are for two weeks. Nobody is getting a big head in Austin this week.
Also, Texas Tech-#13- is most likely going to lose also. This was the biggest wasted possibility in a long time.

T.J. Watt might be one of the most overrated players I've ever seen.

Jmo, Vandy should be favored by about 3.

Todd Graves - $22b
wow, okay, so they have no excuse to not make their move. How quickly they jettison this guy is the question.

Shaq is probably the richest, at about $400 million.

Can haz their OC? Wow. 😮 actually tweaks his approach to play calling to help the QB.
I have been a Collin Klein fan ever since he gave us hell with an inferior set of athletes on his team at State. As far as I can tell, he never gives up on the run, and does exactly what you said.

I want to know who is the coaching genius who evidently pulled Niblett from the punt return team for the very last punt. I know chances were slim, but you never know.

mark it down, Aggy will be undefeated until they play us. We're winning by the skinniest of skinny 2-3 points.

The PF was legit. the ref was in between them and aggy threw a punch.
thanks, Aggy can't cry about that. Still a very tightly contested game. Age probably score in a couple of plays to take the lead.

I watched the OU game today with some referee interest in mind. Get this, OU was called for holding early in the game!!! Ole Miss was never called for holding, I believe. I am about 90% sure OU lost the penalty yardage battle. I don't normally watch OU except against us, but this may be a new trend. The theory coming from me and probably the board has been that if we get OU to be even in penalty yards we rarely lose to them.
Encouraging sign to me, to see OU not get preferential ref treatment.

I watched every replay they showed and I never saw evidence of personal foul against aggy. Anybody see anything there?

You guys can thank me for this win. I was super sleepy because of being awakened at about 1:30 a.m. with a hailstorm in SA. Just before half after Miss. St. scored, I gave up temporarily and went to take a rare nap. I came back to the living room and there was about 4:00 minutes left in the third quarter and we hadn't scored a point in the 2nd half.

We have an off week coming. Assume we lose one of the two games before the off week, assume Sark tells Cooper after Vandy game he's going to open QB position to competition during off week. That would give Cooper and Arch plenty of time to decide if they want to stay or go.
None of the above is likely to happen, except maybe losing one game.
What should happen is hiring an OC, and others know much better than I if the OL coach needs to go or not.
-
obvious at this point. Whichever defense can get a stop wins the game.
-
Kirby is without a doubt the luckiest coach in all of Football, forget just college football. ALL of football. Guy should have been down.
-
looking forward to Kirby foolishness in 2nd half.
-
16 receptions, is that a league record?
-
still such a great Hail Mary ball that Rodgers throws. And if Flacco doesn't do the hesitation before the last two kneel downs, Pittsburg would have one more play to work with.

Back to our game. Enjoyed watching with family members I don't always watch with. I called holding on OU the time it was called, and told everybody in the room that was the only holding call we would get during the game, and we needed to enjoy that call. Then, about 20 minutes or less later, my younger brother called holding correctly, and I was absolutely stunned. We got TWO holding calls against our opponents in a game????? Who are these refs?
I am curious to look at the box score and see total penalty yardage. It is almost always not in our favor.

Bye Week Fodder- Texas' Historic Game Recommendations
in Football
Posted
First, a three part series comes to mind: First, to get the flavor if you will of Texas-OU in the 1970s, and to see just how talented all of the defensive players seemed to be, watch the 1976 Texas-OU game. If you like defense and special teams, wow, unbelievable!! Just writing about this game stresses me!!
Then follow that by watching the 1977 Texas-OU game. Again a feast for the defensive player in your soul, but also Earl!!! Earl had to be heisman worthy just to score one touchdown against the incredibly talented OU defense.
I think this was the game that was televised only in Oklahoma City and Austin. ABC was not allowed to pick up the game, because OU was on probation. I believe it was a TV crew split-half Texas, half OU. I think Steve Ross was a commentator for the Texas side.
Finally a kicking exhibition broke out the next week in Arkansas. After probably the hardest hitting game of the year, we had to travel to Arkansas and play against Steve Little and the razorbacks. great catch and run by Earl. To my memory he only caught two passes that year, one against Ark. and one against Aggy, both screen passes, both very successful.
Switching to the offensive side of the ball; pick any game that we won in the mid 1980s that featured Eric Metcalf starting. Truly amazing. I only saw him in person one time, in a loss against Aggy, but he was absolutely out-of-this world elusive.
Finally, since you said before 2005, correct? Go back and watch the 2004 Texas-OSU game. We knew what would happen in '05, because of what happened in 2004.
Oops, one honorable mention type game that is probably not even on YouTube. We all know that we had to play three QBs against OU in 1977.
However, few people remember that McEachern would also become bothered by a minor injury and true freshman Sam Ansley would start against either SMU or TCU. But, Ansley had to go out for one play during the game, equipment problem I think. So someone yells at Ricky Churchman DB, and he takes the snap, hands off to Earl, and Earl scores a 30 something yard TD! (I am 100% Ricky was a DB, but I am not 100% sure he was the DB who took the snap.)
I could be wrong, but I believe that cements 1977 as the year that the most QBs played in a game. four QBs, and one DB took snaps.
I think the case could be made that 5 players taking a snap in an undefeated regular season is probably the highest number in NCAA history.
