  1. UTSA is currently the leader in the clubhouse in bowl games for two categories.....#1 most points....57 and #2 largest margin of victory....37.

Give credit to UTSA's 2nd team offense, outscored opposition 17-0 in fourth quarter the other night.

Traylor definitely trying to make people forget about tough season with huge bowl game victory.

  2. Well, the game is no longer in doubt, but what a showing by the old man.  Over 220 yards passing, if they had a decent running game could be looking at scoring 35 or more points.

    Amazing!

  3. So, old man Rivers is on some crazy pace for a 44 year old not named Brady.  I'm guessing the over/under for passing yards for him is about 200?

He may hit that by half!

  4. you guys can thank me for the explosion of points this quarter.  I watched the entire first half on sky cast, only sounds coming from Aggy announcer and the piped in music.

Now that I am watching regular broadcast I predict at least 10 more points this half.

Nope incorrect.  As I told the cop a couple of weeks ago, "Women, can't live without 'em, can't kill 'em." and the cop immediately replied.  "Well, maybe if you don't get caught".  I howled.  Did not expect that response from a policeman on duty.

  6. A couple of things. 1. I, like many older fans, had not kept up with Coach Will, but happy he has been having great success in recent years. I personally think being involved in the Georgia program is a large part of why he is coming now.  He has access to the best coaches and analysts in the Georgia/SEC area and probably has a very good idea about who he wants to bring in as secondary coach.

    2. I personally "resemble the remark" about 55-60 year old men slowing down.  In 2021, as a 56 year old, I landed above the Arctic Circle to teach in a rural Alaska village with very little in the way of conveniences, but also nearly 0 distractions, other than learning to live above the Arctic...e.g. wearing the correct spikes with the correct shoes, having enough layers, staying away from mean dogs, etc.  I was also still working on my 2nd Master's Degree, and continued taking grad courses throughout the first year.

Fast forward to my last semester above the Circle and spring of 2024 featured me getting mildly irritated at the kids for no good reason, became increasing frustrated at other nonsense and my neighbor at school noticed I was basically done.  I had just turned 59, and was definitely diminished.  I only taught one more school year and am now retired.

  7. And I saw something in the first half I have never seen before.  The female sideline ref, who seems to work many high profile games, actually threw her flag.  She called defensive holding.  The only angle shown was from far away and Kirk acted like she made a good call.  The lady has appeared to work for several years now.

Simmons is still an amazing head scratcher.   Everything about his time on the 40 acres.

Don’t forget Mike Adams assaulting his girlfriend and Lavell Pinkney crashing a car into a business, a car the university had rented for him?

yeah, but also don't forget Edwin Simmons had one leg longer than the other.  Allegedly not a small amount either, supposedly half an inch.  Led to knee problems.

  9. best tackle of the night....#23's teammate, cuz 23 was getting up after that int!  Possibility of another turnover was there!

  10. This is who I always thought Hurts was.  He was so lucky, with his one-read and then go run offense the last what two years?  He's still lucky, that his defense gets the ball right back for him.

  11. But, look at it from Michigan's point of view.  Do they want to go into the offseason being reminded by everybody that their last game was a loss to Ohio St?   I think they should be very motivated to try to end the season on a positive note.  This might be a really good game.

  12. At least we get a test on the old extra practices thing.  I always wondered if the extra practices would offset the injuries during the practices and injuries during the bowl game.  Now we  will find out, from at least three colleges, ND, KSU, and Iowa State.

  13. Georgia vs Ohio State in the semis looks awfully good.  I wonder if Oregon is any good? Not surprised in the least that Collin Klein is going back to KSU.

I didn't see any weakness in Indiana.  Indy in the championship game looks good, except they will hear how great they are between now and their next game.  Could lose focus pretty easily.
