YARN | Hey if you want me to take a dump in a box, and mark ...

Thunder are never called for fouls, yet somehow they finish tied for 5th most fouls called. Dort and Caruso get away with everything, yet both are near the top of fouls per minute. Thunder shot 20 FTs per game. Thunder opponents shot 24 FTs per game. Keep fucking that chicken, though. Wait, it has to be your bull.  Anyway, hope that wasn't too aggressive for anyone. Happy health to all and see you next year. Probably see some of you in the "they're holding!!!!" football game threads, I guess.

It's the same as the WVU teams played under Huggins. If you are playing grabby and physical and fouling constantly, not everything is going to get called. You are going to get away with some maddening shit just by the sheer quantity of how much you foul.

  2. I got left out as well after bumping up my donation a good bit from last year. I am assuming it's because I requested 3 tickets vs the 2 tickets I asked for last year.

halliburton mentioning how carlisle likes to let him do his thing in favor of calling a TO and setting up a play, and time and time again it has worked. halliburton is unbelievable in the clutch, and rock carlisle deserves a ton of credit for how his team plays. amazing.

He wanted Halliburton earlier than anyone. He desperately tried to trade up to get him when he was falling in the draft. He’s a genius at identifying guards who fit his system. Always has been.

If Jalen Williams plays anything remotely like he did yesterday, the Thunder are raising a banner.

Presti getting Caruso and Hartenstein this offseason was a masterclass. Giddey was good but needed the ball. Added the perfect glue guy.

I saw an amazing note that of OKCs 11 rotation players, 6 were not drafted or second rounders. Only player drafted in the top 9 was Chet. Their scouting and development is really impressive.

Minnesota hasn’t really been pressed this postseason and their regular season matchups were really good. Can’t believe Vegas has OKC as -375 to win the series.

I will be interested to see how OKC attacks Minnesota. They won't turn the ball over or give up the fast breaks at remotely the same rate that Denver did during the last series.

Brunson wasn’t an all-NBA player when he left Dallas

Yep. He was also never going to develop in Dallas like he did in NY in a Luka centered offense.

bawwaaaaa, just a few months after the worst trade in sports history you think there’s no way the same guy would make a bad decision.

Watch the video of Dumont and the front office after they won the lotto. No chance they allow Nico the power to trade this pick.

The spring transfer portal window has officially closed, and the top remaining talent is flying off the board. More than 4,900 FBS players entered college football free agency this offseason, and this spring was the last chance for programs to add talent before the 2025 season.
On3 is breaking down the teams that won the spring college football transfer portal to this point:

    Georgia

Transfer Commits: LB Elo Modozie (Army), RB Josh McCray (Illinois), DL Joshua Horton(Miami) and OL Waltclaire Flynn Jr. (UCF).

Kirby Smart had a to-do list he needed to accomplish in the spring portal: Add a running back and build depth on the defensive line. Georgia did that, bringing in Illinois transfer running back Josh McCray, who rushed for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024. The Bulldogs return Nate Frazier, but having a second reliable option was a must.
Adding Modozie and Horton provides pass-rushing options for Georgia, too. Modozie posted 6.5 sacks in 2024 at Army, totaling eight tackles for loss. The Bulldogs lost EDGE Damon Wilson to Missouri in the portal in the winter.

    LSU

Transfer Commits: DL Bernard Gooden (USF) and S A.J. Haulcy (Houston).
Defensive tackle was the prime focus for LSU this spring. The Tigers signed Texas defensive line backup Sydir Mitchell in the winter window, but wanted to bring in additional help. LSU finished 2024 at No. 73 nationally in yards allowed per rush. The Tigers got their wish in USF transfer defensive lineman Bernard Gooden. An All-AAC Honorable Mention selection in 2024, Gooden posted 35 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 2024.
Haulcy was a Big 12 first-team all-conference selection in 2024 with 74 tackles. His five interceptions ranked first in the Big 12, and his 13 passes defended were second in the league. With 703 defensive snaps played, he was viewed as one of the most experienced and proven players to hit the portal this spring.

    Miami

Transfer Commits: LB Kamal Bonner (NC State), K Bert Auburn (Texas), WR Keelan Marion (BYU), WR Tony Johnson (Cincinnati), RB CharMar Brown (North Dakota State), S Jakobe Thomas (Tennessee) and S Keionte Scott (Houston).
Similar to a year ago with Cam Ward, Miami focused much of its winter portal efforts on a quarterback. The Hurricanes pulled off a stunner in January, landing Carson Beck, who passed on the NFL draft for the portal. Miami has worked this spring on surrounding Beck with talent, bringing in two new wide receivers in Marion and Johnson. Marion was a second-team All-Big 12 pick as a kick returner after taking back 18 kicks for 472 yards and two touchdowns last season, too.
Miami was also able to land Brown, who appeared set to land at Cal until the Hurricanes made a final hour move to land the Jerry Rice Award winner. The North Dakota State running back closed out 2024 with 1,183 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Reshaping the secondary was a priority for new defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman.

    Oklahoma

Transfer Commits: OL Jake Maikkula (Stanford), RB Jaydn Ott (Cal), DL Ricky Lolohea(Utah State), K Tate Sandell (UTSA) and WR Jer’Michael Carter (McNeese State).
Oklahoma was a clear winner in the winter window when it landed Washington State quarterback John Mateer. The Sooners had to land a proven quarterback, and they went out and did that with Mateer. Since then, rave reviews have come in from Norman on the quarterback and his new offensive coordinator, Ben Arbuckle.
Placing talent around Mateer was important for the Sooners this spring. Cal running back Jaydn Ott decided on Oklahoma within 24 hours of entering the portal in a decisive win for the Sooners. The most experienced back to enter the portal this spring, Ott has rushed for 2,597 career yards and 29 touchdowns and can alter what Oklahoma does on the offensive side of the ball. The addition of Jer’Michael Carter provides wide receiver depth, while Tate Sandell was a needed pickup in the special-teams game.

    Penn State

Transfer Commits: WR Trebor Pena (Syracuse), LB Amare Campbell (North Carolina).
Penn State finished its College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Notre Dame without a single completed pass to a wide receiver. The lone catch from a wideout was a three-yard loss on a lateral on the game’s final play. Penn State has now revamped its receiver room, headlined by the spring portal addition of Syracuse transfer Trebor Pena.
James Franklin’s program added Troy transfer Devonte Ross and USC transfer Kyron Hudson in the winter portal window. But bringing in Pena gives quarterback Drew Allar three targets, which could change the dynamics of the Penn State offense. Allar flashed in the CFP, ultimately picking another year in State College over the NFL. Pena finished 2024 with 84 receptions for 941 yards and nine touchdowns, earning second-team All-ACC honors.

    Purdue

Transfer Commits: OL Jude McCoskey (Tulane), WR Corey Smith (Tulsa), CB Chalil Cummings (Memphis), QB Ryan Browne (North Carolina), OL Bradyn Joiner (Auburn), DL Ian Jeffries (Arkansas State), WR Nitro Tuggle (Georgia), WR Michael Jackson III (Georgia), OL Tyrell Green (Eastern Kentucky), OL Marc Nave (Kentucky), EDGE Breylon Charles(North Texas), OL Marques Easley (Georgia), WR David Washington (Utah), LB Charles Correa (UNLV), RB An’Darius Coffey (Northwestern), CB Tre Wright (Mississippi State) and DL Josh Burney (Fort Valley State).
Since Purdue fired Ryan Walters last fall, the Boilermakers have seen 56 players transfer out. Restocking a roster after that many departures is difficult. But Barry Odom has worked to do that, bringing in 46 new players in total and 17 in this spring window. Odom has pulled off his fair share of portal wins, too, bringing in former Georgia wide receivers Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson III.
Odom has built the roster his way, bulking up on offensive and defensive linemen through the portal. Questions remain on who will start at quarterback in Week 1, but Odom has a proven track record of turning around a program through the portal at UNLV.

    Texas

Transfer Commits: WR Emmett Mosley (Stanford), DL Lavon Johnson (Maryland), TE Jack Endries (Cal), K Mason Shipley (Texas State) and DL Maraad Watson (Syracuse).
Steve Sarkisian approached the spring portal window looking to add depth to his defensive line. Texas checked that off, bringing in Maryland’s Lavon Johnson and Syracuse star freshman Maraad Watson. The duo adds to the defensive line haul the Longhorns brought in over the winter.
Texas brought in a handful of weapons for Arch Manning for his first season as a starter, too. Jack Endries is viewed as one of the top returning tight ends in college football. A one-time walk-on, he has 91 career catches for 1,030 yards. Emmett Mosley has three years of eligibility remaining and is coming off a breakout 2024 season, where he finished with 48 catches for 525 yards.

    Texas Tech

Transfer Commits: EDGE David Bailey (Stanford), OL Cash Cleveland (Colorado), WR Micah Hudson (Texas A&M) and WR Roy Alexander (Incarnate Word).
Texas Tech carried over its spending in the winter window to the spring, not missing a beat. Stemming from a frustrating final month of the 2024 season, Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire, general manager James Blanchard and Cody Campbell, the co-founder of the Texas Tech-focused NIL collective The Matador Club, came together to make an aggressive plan for the transfer portal. The Red Raiders still hold the No. 1 spot in the portal rankings.
Texas Tech landed EDGE David Bailey, viewed as the top pass rusher available this spring. The Stanford transfer could be a game-changer, coming to Lubbock after registering 23 career tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks. Bringing Micah Hudson back into the fold after his brief stint at Texas A&M was important, and Roy Alexander has 2,407 career receiving yards. Colorado transfer Cash Cleveland, a former walk-on, early Freshman All-American status last fall.

    UCLA

Transfer Commits: CB Jamier Johnson (Indiana), QB Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee), QB Madden Iamaleava (Arkansas), CB Rodrick Pleasant (Oregon), RB Jaivian Thomas (Cal), EDGE Kechaun Bennett (Michigan) and EDGE Anthony Jones (Michigan State).
Even if it wasn’t the cleanest transaction, bringing in Nico Iamaleava is an upgrade at quarterback for UCLA. The divorce between Iamaleava and Tennessee was public and ended in him skipping a practice and leaving town. But DeShaun Foster now has a proven starting quarterback in Iamaleava, who started every game for Tennessee en route to a College Football Playoff berth. His brother, Madden, is leaving Arkansas for UCLA, too.
That wasn’t the only win for UCLA this spring, however, as the Bruins picked up Cal running back Jaivian Thomas. He led the Golden Bears in rushing yards in 2024, as he finished with 626 yards on 100 carries.
