Not sure where you go, but the theaters I frequent are well-staffed and fairly busy.

Ticket booths are a dead concept because most people buy their tickets ahead of time online. Anyone buying tickets on site do so at the concession stand, often in a dedicated line. I would bet well under 20% of total ticket sales take place in person.

Yeah I understand that, my point was how much of the movie theater infrastructure was empty and unmanned and how that adds to the view that the concept is dying or dead etc.

This is an AMC with an imax was actually decent amount of movie goers.

But it's always staffed very lightly.

Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Pretty sure Giant Slor was briefly one of my ICQ handles 25 years ago

  3. This movies box office numbers are resparking the debate whether or not movie theaters are a dead concept.

When I go to my local theater, I do recall feeling an awkward sense of emptiness staff wise.  The entire outside booth ticketing areas are always empty and nonmanned.  One small electronic kiosk at entry, one ticket guy, and like 2 or 3 total concession employees I saw..

I was surprised how few staff for a huge theater it was.

If I didn't have kids I'd prob check this movie out with the wife but I'll likely wait for stream.

  4. What really stands out about Denver, Minnesota, and OKC is how deep they are.

OKC may not be ready for the bright lights just yet but who knows.

We are all guessing here but I don't agree with this starting backcourt. Larry is the best perimeter defender and playmaker/creator on the team. I think he's definitely going to start at PG.

This is 10000% of what sticks out about Mark's tape I just watched.

Let's hope the youngin Johnson has that Carr/JCovan style no fucks given I'll hit this shot in your face habit and we are set.

People also don't seem to understand that CSU is good for college basketball standards. They are #28 in Kenpom. It was a good draw but it's not like we were playing scrubs tonight.

Knowing nothing about Kenpom they Def missed a bunch of open shots.

But what the fuck ever.  That's the way basketball go
