  1. 1 win in Omaha, don't care about just getting there. Also from the outside looking in, appears he's very controlling and coaches don't want to work for him. Programs have evolved and this guy just says fuck it, I'll coach the hitters, I'll coach the pitchers, I'll do third base. You work at Texas, build the best staff of coaches you can, no one is going to fight you on that.

  2. They're going to trade Fields, his value will never be higher. He finished the season on a good note and there are teams out there screaming for a quality QB and would rather roll the dice with Fields than to find someone later in the draft.

Whatever picks you get for Fields goes to drafting big people and possibly a good receiver to go with Moore.

There is no way the Bears don't draft Williams and load up in this draft, just waiting for which team will give up their first born for Fields.

It's not new and it needs to stop.

I've read a lot of "home team forfeit the game" -  to a million dollar fine. It's been around as long as college basketball has been played. The NBA stopped it, so can the NCAA, but the reactions are over the top. People seemed to be caught off guard by this storming the court business, or they just like to to trumpet some nonsensical point and grandstand online.

That was among the worst of the Moon era playoff teams. The KC loss and the Denver loss were far worse. At the time of the KC loss we were the best team in the NFL…

  5. Keep Sark here and keep him happy, we aren't worried about another school luring him, worried about the NFL. So far everything he has laid out has worked, his plan is on point and he knows how to build staff and team. This is a far cry from Jimbo, way different, it would be devastating if Sark left. Gomer was thrilled to see Jimbo go, the only reason they had an outstanding class was due to money, not coach. His offense was confusing and uninviting to top recruits and transfers. Kids are lining up to play for Sark. So chill the fuck out with whatever the fuck is guaranteed.

Purdy didn't lose this game for them. If that's what Kyle needs..... this was a team game to win and they had enough to get it done. the defensive play calling let them down in the second half and OT. hate Romo all you want, but he is probably right about having to face Mahomes breaking people's brains

I'm not saying Purdy lost the game, I'm saying it's a hell a lot easier when you have that type of QB. Certainly an upgrade from what he has had, but still. It's rare, but it happens, Trent Dilfer won an SB, most times you need an elite QB to win it all.

I'm mulling El Chapo on Netflix. It is in the same quality ballpark as Narcos Mexico?

No, it's not terrible, but don't expect Narco production. I stopped watching towards the end of the series.

  8. Jerry and his comfort hires. First he recycled through Jimmy's staff, then he kept the wrong Parcels disciple and now he requires a guy to have 30 years in the league with moderate success. Bienemy has some years to go before Jerry gives him a look. Still too young, but his resume is lining up for Jerry's liking.

He is so stubborn and has only an inkling of what to do with roster and staff.

We all know how the Zimmerman hire will go, good regular season, shitty postseason, ends up the head coach when fat boy is canned.

Just since we're weighing in, I don't know much about Luke Combs but I also don't have a problem with him. Beyond bringing attention to a great song, I am a fan of mainstream country audiences emotionally connecting with black lesbians, whether they're aware of it or not.

I keep thinking of the younger generation watching and wondering why is this lady singing Luke's song? The same people who think Ted Lasso is the originator of so many famous quotes. Anyways, it's great for Tracy Chapman and well deserved attention.

Someone posted a clip last night on X where she was a fill-in at Live Aid, entire crowd of 80,000 not paying attention to her, in chant and before you know she's singing Fast Car and the place is silent. Awesome sight.
