That said, this was actually a really great listen and I think Noah showcased and shined better in the 52 minutes here (w/Reid Hoffman) than any 52 minutes of his Daily Show tenure:

i never got the hate for trevor noah. most of the people who hated him seemed to hate stewart too? i dunno, it's a weird dynamic. you can never take over from a master of his craft without some hate. but he did a good job, made it his own, and i just don't get the hate. if you didn't like him, i dunno, don't watch? very confusing.
I mean, that is exactly what happened.
People can complain about the restaurant on Yelp and not go as often or go back again. People complaining about Trevor Noah likely are the ones who stopped watching. Apparently, according to this link (https://www.thewrap.com/gutfeld-tops-late-night-total-viewers-august-ratings/) Noah's first show after being handed the baton was equivalent in viewership numbers to Stewarts last, and then:
