  1. Abreu being sent to Palm Beach is a win-win. We'll put a better 1B on the field and there's the small chance Abreu figures something out an gets his shit together. If not then bye Felicia.

If Dusty was still here, his ass would be starting at 1B until infinity.

Playing Dubon there as much as possible is a better option than letting Abreu desperately try to catch up to 90 mph fastballs.

Dubon, Caratini, and Diaz.  and Loperfido has 36 innings at 1B in AAA.

I think it depends on the player. If you're a guy like Singleton, Meyers, Dubon, Abreu, etc, don't swing. If you're a badass hitter in top 4 of the lineup, swing away.

Agreed. Also if your on a heater and seeing beachballs up there, like Altuve, absolutly sit on that FB down the middle.

I too am frugal so during our fall 6U season, I went to Home Depot and bought some rope, pvc pipe, pipe insulation foam, and black duck tape. I made a poor man’s version for every boy on the team. They were as sturdy as the real ones, but worked fine when the kids were hitting squish balls or tennis balls to work on their swing. Inevitably most of the boys started hitting baseballs with them and they exploded.

What exploded? your offensive production or the device you made?

Man these prices are getting out of hand.  Saturday game get in the door ticket (nosebleed in 405)  is $49 after fees.

Monday get in the door ticket is $40 after fees.

My days of going to 20+ games a year are over

Yep. 1-2 games per season for me.. After I take the kid its a $300-$400 day.

Nah. Streaming is a losing proposition. We did a podcast on why that is, but it’s worse than what he had.

Wasn't the math something like $600 for a season per household? Are you saying its actually higher? I enjoyed that podcast, btw..

could backfire if guys like Framber and Javier don’t revert to 2022 form.

“That starting rotation is relentless at giving up 6+ in 3 innings”

I saw a video of Javier jumping over hurdles on a beach so we should expect him to be close to elite this season

The Angels announced that they have traded infielder/outfielder Trey Cabbage, who was recently designated for assignment, to the Astros. In exchange, the Angels will receive minor league right-hander Carlos Espinosa. The Astros designated right-hander Declan Cronin for assignment to open a roster spot for Cabbage.

Lettuce hope this guy can contribute this season
