  1. the olds across the street from me installed a video doorbell a few months ago. it is incredibly loud and sensitive. if i walk out my front door i hear "HELLO, YOU ARE BEING RECORDED" blasting from the front porch across the street. this happens every time a person walks by in the street, a car goes by, etc...they must be deaf as fuck for it to not drive them absolutely crazy.

    We must share old neighbors.
  2. did you get this figured out?
    curious what it was...

The magnet on the solenoid was stuck and not opening by itself. A neighbor came by and popped it open with a flathead screwdriver, said he’d had the same issue with his system.

  3. Any sprinkler system experts in here?I had to shut off the water at the back flow connection to repair a cracked section of PVC pipe. Turned the water back on, tried the system and nothing. I’ve tried every zone and can’t get any of them to turn on. The panel in the garage has power, tried to reset it and still nothing. Any ideas?

  4. In May of 2018 my legs started hurting. It was a dull aching pain that felt like they were just sore (I had played basketball several times that week) but the pain kept getting worse and worse. A few days later I was in a meeting and my hands, arms, and legs felt like they were on fire. I had no strength in my hands or extremities. I was sitting in a meeting and tried to pick up s pencil and couldn’t grip it. My boss sent me home and I had to loop my arm through the steering wheel and pull myself into my truck. I vividly remember getting home and an Amazon package being delivered. I went to open the door and couldn’t even turn the door knob (we had childproof locks on them).

My wife came home and I was curled up in the fetal position on the floor. She drove me to the doctor, he did all kinds of tests and I was diagnosed with polymyositis. My arms and legs ache for the most part nonstop and I’ll occasionally get a tingling/burning sensation in my hands and feet. I take medicine for it has stayed under control for the most part. I’ve never felt the pain I did in 2018 and still don’t have any idea what brought it on or caused it.

  5. There's lot of stories on here about a marked decline in quality.  Time to get your order and overall service have been abysmal for years now.  But IMHO, the quality of the burgers has declined noticeably.  Obviously it can change region to region with different distributors.  Fries, bun, and cheese are all same to me.  But the veggies and the patty itself are way fucking different.  I can't put my finger on it only than to say everything wastes more "watery" if that makes sense.

The burgers are smaller and don’t have the same taste as before. Fries and drinks are still the same.
  6. I rarely tell my wife any of my infrequent ailments, because as soon as I do, it begins a litany of things she wants me to try, take, do, don't do, reasons why I got this ailment, why it's my fault, and better living would prevent it.  So I don't do it.  Ever.

My wife is a nurse. I learned a long time ago not to say shit about any ailments.

  7. This may be the wrong place to ask this question, but I’m seriously considering a career change. This is my 16th year of being a public school teacher and it has gotten harder and harder to stay in each year. My salary will never be much more than it is now and when we do get a raise it’s generally offset by a rise in our insurance premiums.

Reading through this thread it doesn’t seem like now is a very good time to start looking anyway but, if I were, are people even hiring former educators that may not have experience in that field but bring other useful skills to the table?

  8. that would be nice.  sounds like the rollout will be gradual and take a few months.  nothing for me yet.

Go to “home” and the first row is titled “top picks for you” and you can see the multi view. The other way is to select the game from the guide and, if available, it will give you the option to watch live or the multi view. So far it’s only worked with 2 games at a time.
