Lolz. “Academia.” Hartzell taught bean counting.

I'm not gonna knock anyone that educates, but it would seem when you approach leadership and decision-making as a balance sheet only, you get yesterday's response.

Folks, visit a meat market that sells ground goat meat. Not only is goat meat a healthier choice than beef or lamb, and setting aside that folks can raise goat on grassland that reclaims desert, goat burgers are tastier than chicken, turkey, or plant based derivative burgers.

I won't say no to a good goat curry

  3. Good! Most cases from yesterday dropped: https://www.texastribune.org/2024/04/25/ut-austin-palestinian-arrests-criminal-cases/?utm_source=Texas+Tribune+Newsletters&utm_campaign=b8818d6c40-trib-newsletters-breaking-alert&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d9a68d8efc-b8818d6c40-102902408&mc_cid=b8818d6c40

You don't say? "A spokesperson for Travis County Attorney Delia Garza said law enforcement lacked probable cause in the 46 cases she dismissed. Probable cause is the reason law enforcement provides to justify arrests."

  4. lol got this email from UTPD.

THIS IS A DISPERSAL ORDER FOR OCCUPANTS OF THE SOUTH MALL:

I command you in the name of the People of the State of Texas to disperse, and if you do not, you shall be arrested for Violation of Penal Code Section 42.01 Disorderly Conduct, 42.02 Riot, 42.03 Obstructing a Highway or other passageway.

I'd rather just intermittent fast and skip a meal than eat chicken sasuage or turkey burgers and save up my consumption to make it worthwhile. In fact, that's what I mostly do with red meat-- I won't eat a steak for example unless it's a bone-in ribeye. Miss me with any other cuts, including filets, regular ribeyes, etc.

Check out some Chinese/Indian recipes. Typical American cuisine's treatment of chicken, lentils, and beans are boring.

I'm as doom and gloom as anyone, well not really, but I get shit is changing but I'm not really looking to Texas A&M for my climate science research tbqh. call it bias, don't care.

Ha, how do you feel about one of the leading climate chanage scientists in the world teaches at Texas Tech?

The audience is upper middle class. However, the bias may be different than that. It all depends on the subject being covered. If the subject is science or cigarette manufacturers, bias is mostly irrelevant and probably non-existent. If the story is about politics then the bias comes into play.

It’s really hard to be free of bias when we communicate information, especially in a media context. Even with science… see climate change. What we have to be vigilant is recognizing misinformation and disinformation.

Does this team ever get back to .500 and if so, when do we think that happens? Before the break? After?

Riiiiiight at the break. Then a mad dash for a WC. I hope. I hope I'm wrong and they rebound faster.

  9. There are some good reaction pieces from outside of NPR and his colleagues surrounding this story that you may want to include to balance out the story.

I really do think home solar + energy storage is going to be the answer. You can charge your battery up overnight for pennies on the dollar when grid demand is low, and then use your panels during the day with the battery available as additional capacity during the hot part of the day. It would remove a hell of a lot of strain from our grid, but would require government incentives to make economical.

Unfortunately, the government incentives have been going to Chinese cryptominers that moved to Texas after they got kicked out of their home country.

    Ah well, nevertheless.

Pretty much what I do now and maybe in a few more years (especially if I remain in TX), I'll investigate if it's worth replacing my traditional AC with a heatpump.
