  1. Back to Isla, twice in 3 weeks. El Varadero mojito, ceviche, guacamole and Cuban sandwich stood out. Some new places that stood out in PN were Los Abuelos and Punto Norte for fish, aguachile, margaritas. New hotel, not recommended, was Playa La Media Luna. Restaurant Samura was all hat and no cattle, avoid the show you’ll pay dearly for. Food is meh.

Always a favorite on PN is Palapa Leidy.

Headed to Scottsdale early June. Buddy wants to play TPC so that’s one round. Planning We-Ko-Pa for another.   Suggestions for a 3rd or 4th round?

We-ko-pa for sure, there are two courses, would not hesitate to play both

    Quintero and Grayhawk

$90 for this shit at Plum CreekIMG_5455.thumb.jpeg.8bf42b037b4441ef2151d94684b386de.jpegIMG_5457.thumb.jpeg.8a9862ab3b59a01b1d691e01ec67de62.jpeg

Plum Creek was in bad shape when I played it two weeks ago.

Oh, and then there's the one he caught in the title game against Bama that would've been a turnover on downs if he'd knocked it down.

5 plays later Colt is injured.

You gotta think the circumstances would have been different had he knocked down the 4th down INT and we get the ball on the Alabama 20….

Or the better option, act like a fucking grownup and don't get in barfights.

Yes, absolutely. Not sure why Vince after all his troubles with alcohol in the past is still going out to these places that are just a haven for him to get sucked back into that life.

maybe they served up a good cheesecake

What hole at "The Masters" is Surly's favorite?

Definitely a few to choose from...

    13, 16, 15, 2, 12, 4

Yeah I really can't decide either, that's why I put the question out there.  I always enjoy the 15th and 16th back-to-back.  All 3 holes of "Amen Corner" are so much fun to watch.

Love that we now get to watch all 18 holes.

Wonder what hole on the front 9 most folks like best at "The Masters" ??

parking your chair on the rope at 13 green just short of the creek keeps you close to 14th tee, 15th green, 16, 12, 11th green, 4, 3rd green, the hill under the 6th, and the restroom and concessions

  6. From military appreciation day to uncle Deane handing out the hardware to Scottie, it’s been a great week. The wife even guessed Scottie at -20 to win the family bet. I had  him at -19. I paid her bet. I get nothing

…..but I was offered and accepted Masters 2025 badges.

    Back to reality.

That's awesome you can buy the goat logod stuff. I thought it was only available like at their member member or something like that. Pretty cool.

You can get in the clubhouse with the right pass. It cost me another $500 today…..but I got 30% off everything. Today we had passes to Tour Staff box on 18 and Ex -Chairmen’s on 9. I’m wiped out. One more day to go.

Beaman was a really good commissioner. It’s great that he still plays at the ripe old age of 85. How does he hit it?

Right down the middle every time. Automatic. He gave me a hell of a golf lesson for 2 hours. With Written notes. Then 9. Back is still a little sore.

today was a good day. I hung out at the 18th tent as a home base and watched Scotty’s group come in on 17 and 18 then caught them coming back on two, I watched Scotty Chip in on three and then then play 4, Matsuyama group was before them and Clark was after, so great opportunities

I met them all coming home on eight and nine after I had some lunch - the buffet is five stars - and beers. Then chilled in the box drinking some Tito’s because it was hot. And then had early dinner with the commish.

The merchandise is awesome, the players store is over 100 yards long or more. And then also, if you have a pass, you can get into the club house pro shop inside the clubhouse and buy all the goat branded Peter Millar clothes which is only on sale this weekend. I got to BS with Baddeley for a moment. I think I’m down at least 900 bucks.

Tomorrow we do it all again.

    Man... course looks fucking amazing.

Has anyone ever been? (to the players - not sawgrass) Feel like this would be a fun tourney to go to.

I got here Tuesday for the concert, played golf on Wednesday with my uncle Deane (former commissioner) and will be on the course all 4 days. Tour staff passes and a Lexus tournament vehicle means we park in the players lot by the clubhouse. 18th green box access, from prime rib to Tito’s….. it’s all free.
