I got a table for 6 at grill under the name Wells. She said we're good up to about 945. The window is wrong, they close at 10 but it's Bama and they expect people to show before closing. Bar chick is a hottie.

All of us outsiders are living vicariously through you’ll tonight/tomorrow.

get a pool specific inspector to do the inspection, not a general home inspector

I'm glad my realtor is smarter than me and did that.

"Here is the results of the pool inspection at ####. These are the items that were checked and are working properly.

Water leveler, skimmer, pool light, gfci protection.  Salt cell is not working. Pool pump is not pulling a full prime due to lack of motor size and pool filter at minimum being cleaned. Filter psi gauge is reading 0 and does have a small seal leak. The crawler vacuum is not moving because of both the pump and filter.

To better improve performance I would suggest a new filter seal and cleaning. If the budget allows I would better suggest a new Pentair 3h.p. Pump and new cartridge filter."

I'd go OME (old man emu)

OME keeps coming up but I don’t see any non lift options.  Are there OME no lift options?  My sr5 has full running boards that I think would look funny on a lifted truck especially with stock wheels and tire size.  I know it’s weird but I don’t want any visually noticeable upgrades on this vehicle especially after what I went through with the insurance.  Stock vehicles are worth 2x+ their upgraded counterparts (mine has been in AZ for 20 yrs so there’s 0 frame rust).

I was saving my 4Runner for a full stock restore once I move out of the concrete jungle but I want to spend the extra insurance $ on her.

I’m looking for new shocks/struts as that’s definitely something she needs.  I don’t want a lift but leveling would be nice. A lot of what I’m reading leads to the Bilstein 5100 series.  Anyone have experience good or bad?  If I order an assembled kit online how much should I expect to pay to have them installed (who to hire?) or would it be better to find a local dealer? (Their website sucks for finding authorized installers).

Looks like my old 4Runner fought off the thief and he/she gave up.  I hate criminals…

    My gen 3 rides again.

The insurance jerked me around for a few months and it ended up costing them dearly.

I was very clear about the damage and researched the cost I even found a local shop (at the insurance request) and they towed the car to it.  The first estimator, the shop, and I all agreed on what needed done.

I did not want a branded tittle for a door lock or ignition switch (no other damage) so the insurance sent me a no adjuster claim link to fill out with pictures, liability, etc.  I filled and submitted everything.

The car sat there for nearly 2 months and no movement from insurance.  The shop guy started calling me which made me the middle man…

The insurance then totaled my car because the cost…

They clearly didn’t listen.  So i asked them to produce the rationale and that’s when clarity ensued.

They used an estimate of cost for things that could “possibly” be required and then valued my car as a 2 wheel drive.

They wanted to cut me a check for 4k$.  I refused and hired an attorney/estimator.

They ended up paying the shop $5500, me $4900, and my attorney fees just because they were too stupid to pay the $2000 to fix it.  I also won on the branded title claim.

They would have had pay me replacement cost ($14k) plus all the third parties when they could have just fixed the damn car…

Btw. As of today, it’s now fixed and it cost me about $1200

Or could be health.  Very surprising.

edit- yep, LA Times saying “health challenges”.  Hope he can overcome it.

I know there are laws about health but usually “effective immediately” would be followed with the “for health reasons” caveat.   LA times must have updated their article.
