This is pretty far off base, but does anyone know the contract situation for Luka and Kyrie? Both seem to be happy but Luka is going to command top dollar, although I feel like he may have already signed an extension off his rookie deal. Is that correct?

Kyrie just signed a new contract last summer. Luka is signed through 2027 and is eligible for more due to making another All NBA team.

Fuck Kyrie, that fucking douche. My fellow Massholes will welcome that cocksucker back to TD Garden in proper fashion. Ready to hang banner 18.

Yeah please boo Kyrie and Luka real loud. That's working out really well for Mavs' opponents. Make sure they hear you.

As for banner 18, gonna be awkward if a little franchise like Dallas has 2 rings in 13 years and Boston has 1 ring in 38 years.  Definitely boo loud to prevent that.

i must have missed the part of my own thesis where i said that literally every single player who will ever be drafted from now on will be a total unknown with no exceptions. we’re talking about the nba draft at large, not the 1% of generational talents who are tangential to the conversation.

now, would you care to disagree with or discuss anything i’ve actually posted, or was that all? look at the 2017 screenshot vs the 2023 screenshot and tell me again that my “thesis” is incorrect.

You said "the days of tim Duncan and Grant Hill entering the league as polished players is over." Those are your words. It was the begining of your argument that I quoted. Wembanyama and Miller looked pretty damn polished.

Derek Lively is the determining factor in the western conference playoffs right now.

If we want to say American players are slightly down, fine. But the improvement in talent from overseas more than makes up for it. The league is more talented right now than ever.

what’s not to understand? the days of tim duncan and grant hill entering the league as polished players is over. drafting is more about potential and less about who the player currently is than it’s ever been. i don’t think this take is even lukewarm, much less hot.

i mean what are we even talking about here?

is that not the literal definition of what i just described?

Why did you cut off the two guys who completely go against your thesis?

  5. I feel like a lot of people are looking at this series from Minnesota's perspective: what they're doing wrong, how they'd win if Edwards and KAT hit shots, etc.

PJ Washington and Derrick Jones Jr are 2-17 from three in this series. The wings haven't come close to matching their performance from the first two rounds. If the role players start knocking down shots, there could be a blowout .

Paul Mescal if he pulls off Gladiator

His acting in Normal People was incredible. I haven't seen anything else, but he was so good in that, I might agree with this. I heard he was great in Aftersun.

  7. Draft people are just as aware of Ewer's problems with deep balls as we are. When discussing Worthy and Mitchell, I heard tons of draft people admitting they were handicapped by Ewers's inconsistency.

For Ewers to go in the 1st round, he will have to put up better numbers and put up some film of him consistently hitting targets deep. He'll have to do this with worse receivers.

  8. One thing to consider is how many of the worst teams will be ready to move on from QBs they drafted 1-2 years before?

Carolina, Denver, Tennessee, NY Giants, Washington, Las Vegas,  Minnesota, and New England have the lowest win total over/unders.

I can see Tennessee, NY, Vegas drafting QBs. I could maybe see Carolina giving up on Bryce two years in. Denver is the dumbest franchise in the NFL now so who knows what they will do.

so a center white stripe on the helmet?

The numbers are now white and blocked. The shoulder stripes are different and don't have the letters. It's closer to the Barry Sanders era now.

Not at all, but I’m not surprised that a ranger fan would struggle with basic reading. As I very clearly wrote I’m worried that Adolis’ head is about to explode.

Right. That wasn't at all satirical on your part. It was literal, and it is my reading comprehension that suffers rather than your own inconsistent and insincere sports moral outrage.

Congrats to the Rangers on your dominating win!

Also, y’all might want to tell Adolis to chill on the roids for a bit, I’m worried his head is about to pop!

It sounds like an Astros fan is worried about someone cheating.

Only bad part is having to watch 3 games there.

We went to a game last summer before going to Clearwater and it was the worst professional sports atmosphere I've ever witnessed.  We left early and thought we'd see the sting ray on the way out, and someone spilt a beer in the pool, so it was put away. Straight ass.
