    Point of parliamentary procedure

Why is Oregon ranked ahead of us? They put up numbers against shitty teams, which we don’t, I get it. But they barely beat Tech. Their big win is against Utah? USC? Both are average. They have a quality loss. That’s their big selling point?

Not only that, every sports media member likes Oregon more than Washington.

People get a hard on for blowout wins.

  2. Sark impressed me with his play calling more than ever last night.

-The short yardage pass to Whittington was a great play call for an OC who has rammed it into a 9 man box on short yardage all year long.

-The play action pass to Helm was totally unexpected. Sark used that two tight end motion about 30 times against TCU and I think every time it was a run. Iowa State didn't see it coming.

-Ewers had so many wide open targets all night.

-The run game without Brooks looked as good as ever.

  3. I'm sure Bally is fine if you're on cable. But it is the worst steaming app I've ever used.  Fast forwarding and rewinding is horrible, it constantly has load issues, it asks for a password every other time you use it, the entire app was down for a couple nights a week ago.

Not to mention, if you wanted to just pay for the App by itself aside from DirecTV, the Mavs and Stars were available but the Rangers weren't.

    Not great.

I can think of a variety of highly plausible scenarios in which Texas gets in guaranteed:

    1) Florida State loses to either Miami/Florida/ACC finalist (ACC misses playoff)

    2) Oregon beats Washington and Oregon drops either a game to OSU or USC (PAC misses playoff)

    3) Georgia loses to Bama and Bama loses to Auburn or Kentucky prior to that result (SEC misses playoff)

    Less likely but plausible scenarios:

    4) Bama beats Georgia, Texas gets the nod over Bama by virtue of a H2H road win (assuming Washington wins out, SEC misses palyoff)

    5) Bama beats Georgia, Texas gets the nod over a 1 loss Pac 12 Champ Oregon by virtue of a H2H road win against the SEC champ (PAC misses playoff)

    Very unlikely scenario:

    6) Ohio St/Mich winner loses the Big 10 champ game to Iowa (lol) (Big 10 misses playoff)

Any of those first 3 are reasonably likely to occur. Yall have to stop panicking. Let's just focus on winning our games so that these scenarios matter.

This. People are giving way too much credence to the idea that everyone wins out. How many times have we seen four Power 5 undefeated conference champs?

Florida has two rivalry games and probably Louisville. The Pac 12 can still beat itself up.

Also, Oklahoma's demise has improved the quality of Texas's perceived strength of schedule. If it ends up 12-1 Texas, 10-3 Oklahoma State, 10-2 Oklahoma, 10-2 Kansas, 8-4 Kansas State, that's going to look just as impressive as whatever the Pac 12 has after they beat each other late.

I know I’m putting the cart before the horse or whatever but I’m not sure about the playoffs. Washington just won’t die. And if Oregon does beat them they are in.

Can ole miss beat UGA in Georgia, no.
Can UF or Miami pull it together for fsu. Don’t think so.

Our best chance is Washington losing before the pac 12 championship and Oregon losing another too. Do they play anybody that can beat them. Arizona? Maybe Utah beats Washington. Has usc played Oregon. We need usc to pull it together for one game.

Oregon could lose to USC or Oregon State.

Washington could lose to Washington State or Utah. Feasibly. Then you just hope the higher ranked team loses the Pac 12 championship.

  6. I'm at the point where I almost want to treat any third and long with Murphy as though we're about to punt. He's horrible on obvious passing downs. Limit him to deep shots, comeback throws, hitches, etc. Our running game, receivers, defense, special teams should be good enough to win our last three games as long as Murphy doesn't turn the ball over. But he will turn it over if we give him free reign to sit back and make reads.

Savior Red should probably get more snaps but where he actually reads the end and hands it off sometimes. If our passing game is going to be limited, might as well make the running game more intricate.

yeah for those going, Kickoff wont be until 11:20, they milk the transition from the set to the announcers back to the studio for forever.

This explains why Fox starts their second game at 3:00 rather than 2:30 like the other channels.

Maalik is far more confident over the middle of the field and in the pocket than Quinn. Long ball is tie. Ball security is a tie. Progression reads are slight Maalik favor because of his pocket presence, but early cuz byu sucks.

What on earth are you talking about? Every single thing you said was wrong.

  9. Iowa has 29 active players in the NFL, good for 13th overall.  They're good at developing big guys. I get why a school like Iowa is content. They see what Nebraska is like with their constant upheaval. It's basically like a parallel universe where Nebraska never gets rid of Pelini and is content with the 9 win seasons.

So I get Kirk Ferentz. I do not get Brian Ferentz.
