It makes more sense when you understand that history didn’t begin in September 1945.

Ana: You are wrong and stupid.  It began when they started adding flavor to sparkling water.  Any other understanding of this is simple absurdity.

So you haven’t been in 5 years, and I live in Port A and probably go twice a month when I am in town. I’ll stick with my opinion which is what it is. Compared to what I am used to in San Antonio and Austin that kind of stuff at La Playa is terrible.

Here's a hot take - Texas Monthly should expand the list to 100 and do a top-10 and top-50, but not rank them. I feel like we're at the point where the difference between #1 and #20 is probably insignificant and a matter of preference rather than objective superiority.

For instance, Moreno BBQ didn't make the top-50. I go there because it's right down the street from me. And it's fucking excellent. And there's almost never a wait of more than 20 minutes. I'm positive there are not 50 bbq places better than Moreno. Selfishly, I'm a little happy they didn't make it because I will be able to continue to get top-tier bbq a few miles from my house with almost zero wait. But another part of me wished they'd made the list so Bo Moreno could make some money off of it.

I live near Moreno as well and couldn’t agree more.

Haven’t been in 3 years while we living in Florida. Any new bars or restaurants we need to check out next weekend?

Plan to eat at Tortuga’s one night

Tortuga's is a good call.  La Playa is another.

I’ve never heard a worse 3 run homer in the 9th inning called than that.  Announcer’s call was pathetic and wonder how he even got his job.

    The announcers are both Sooners.

You took an upper division economics elective not being a major?

Not judging, I did the same with geology but geology is for the cool kids not nerds like economics.

Indecisiveness, as I was a Government major for a time before going to Business school. Also took an upper division Econ public finance course.

Is admission to the Economics major competitive? Is there a GPA cut-off?

No, currently there is no GPA requirement and approval is not on a competitive basis. Our goal is to accept all students who want Economics as their major as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

But this is probably what gets a lot of people:

    • Must complete one of the following courses in-residence with a C- or higher:
      • ECO 304K Intro to Microeconomics
      • ECO 304L Intro to Macroeconomics
      • Calculus I (M 408K, M 408N, M 408C, M 408R or M 408Q)
      • Calculus II (M 408L, M 408D, or M 408S)
      • ECO 329 Economic Statistics
      • Any upper-division Economics elective

Goddamnit, I took all of those and didn't major in Econ.
