Firemen in some sketchy places have reported being shot at, or so I’ve read now & then over the years. A few folks hate any type of uniform it seems.
Before East Austin was so gentrified, my nephew was a fireman/emt at Station #1, which did a lot of responding east of I-35.
He said the longtime residents in that area loved the first responders and viewed them as an essential part of their community life.
His station received a lot of great home-cooked meals & baked goods from their grateful admirers.Carry on.

It's the epicenter of where people who didn't grow up in Texas (and therefore are less likely to learn how to handle firearms growing up) live around these parts. Makes sense to me as a self-inflicted wound story. If she had shot someone else, then yeah, I would be surprised.
Careless assholes are not in short supply anywhere…..

I've still got an old 45 juke box. When friends come over we just turn that on and let people play whatever they want.
A good friend in London, England restored a ‘60s vintage juke box about 10 years ago.
I sent him a half dozen old 45 hit records from the late 50s-60s to add to his collection.
He had put it in storage at his business warehouse until he could finish renovating his vacation home in France.Tragically, half of his London warehouse was undermined & destroyed by a huge sinkhole caused by a watermain break underneath it.
Tens of thousands worth of his inventory supplies and the juke box fell into the hole and was all washed away underground, never to be seen again. Bad, freakin’ luck to be sure. -
No pressure at all on the kid.

Why would his mom be wearing a formal dress and corsage on his prom night, unless……
I assumed it was his date which would be a pretty impressive score for him. Maybe he’s like Meat Pimp. He’s just got next level game.
Maybe she invited herself as his “date”.

Take a look at the profile here. Graham wearing a Baylor polo, studies at South Carolina, nothing really aggy at all. I think Graham may be some rando in South Carolina using gpt and a texags script to cash in on those rubes.
Quotemy litany of ridiculous profile pictures on my various and sundry social media accounts serve as a good reminder to myself to Never Post Anything Serious On Line
So, he admits he’s not serious about all the Aggie sunshine pumping?

Wow, Case the aggy is not very smart.
Case: Why not include Equestrian over rowing? Equestrian is an NCAA sanctioned sport just like rowing is.
Directors’ Cup Updates: all NCAA sports are included. Equestrian is not NCAA.
And Meat Judging is FDA, not NCAA.

It's not like we like any of that shit either, but this is the path the school's leadership chose. Some byproducts of that decision are fine - the competition, bigger brands, money, recruiting. Some are not - generally being affiliated with a bunch of mouthbreathing, chestbeating hillbillies, seeing credit taken for UT's achievements and players' achievements, cheating, SEC chants, etc.
Well to be fair, UT made some of those achievements kicking SEC ass starting in the 1965 Orange Bowl, plus more over the decades.

You mean to say the video link I provided isn’t legit news?
I thought considering the tone of the back & forth diplomacy between the White House and Tehran it was real.
After all, even Billy Loochie says goats are the way to go.-

So this was an early attempt at a Sybian? I bet more than a few ladies figured that out.

The forward pass was also legalized that year, but we stuck steadfastly to good 'ol Student Body Right. Unfortunately, the flying wedge had been outlawed on kickoffs back in 1894 and was no longer available to us. John Heisman's first trophy wasn't awarded until 1935; shame I couldn't have stuck around long enough for that. Timing is everything, I guess.
Damn, I love these strolls down memory lane.
Quit bragging, Son.

When it comes to telephone “diplomacy “, Trump is like the naive confused geezer giving his bank account info to the Nigerian Prince Putin.
