As successful Oklahoma has been in football the past 20+ years, how can they be so in debt? I thought they had a state full of boosters and money men.

We've mastered the art of making money regardless of the product on the field.
That's not a good thing for fixing the systemic rot that got us here.
The Dallas Cowboys certainly have been good at it.

I expect he and the school to negotiate an amount less than that unless he wants to work at the school in another capacity.

Yikes! SIAP.
“From Jan. 1, 2010 to Jan. 31, 2021, public universities in FBS conferences paid out more than $533.6 million in dead money to head coaches and assistant coaches in football and men's and women's basketball, according to an analysis of financial records obtained by ESPN through state open records laws.
The total does not include tens of millions of dollars in severance payments to coaches who have been fired or resigned since then, including head football coaches at Georgia Southern, LSU, TCU, Texas Tech, Akron, UConn and USC. LSU football coach Ed Orgeron, who guided the Tigers to a College Football Playoff national championship in 2019 and was then dismissed last month, is owed about $16.9 million, which will be doled out in 18 installment payments through December 2025, according to the university.”

They'll keep Cumbie and like it!
Cumbie is at Texas Tech. Sonny wants the TCU job. Unless someone better is available, he will most likely be the one.

That's a hard no from me. Might as well hire the coach with the stripper and monkey.

You had this right then edited it. You would NOT be surprised if these ARE his last few games.
You are correct. I was in a hurry.

Chandler Morris now playing QB for tcu late in 3rd quarter -- not sure if Duggan is hurt or benched ??
Duggan has been playing with a broken foot that happened at the end of the Texas Tech game. I would not be surprised if these are not Gary's last few games.

Well, we should all be envious of their many meat judging championships.

Not to start a realignment thread but If he’s suggesting the Big 12 CG will remain with the current 1v2 and round robin format, after the 12 team playoff begins, that’s fucking retarded.
We started it because the playoff committee said we needed more data points. Yeah right. With 12 spots soon to be available, we need to drop it to get more teams in the playoffs. The title game could very well eliminate one of our teams.

Why wouldn't you get vaccinated? Who wants part of their team out for a game due to Covid while the team you're playing is at full strength? NCSU's baseball team should be a lesson to all.

With the expansion of the CFP around the corner, the smart thing to do is for the Big 12 to remain together and set up conference play to make the easiest path to get the most Big 12 teams in the playoffs. If it's 8 conference games a year, do that. If it's 8 conference games and no Big 12 championship game, do that. We do not need to make Big 12 conference play into the Bataan Death March.

What do you think about Doug Meacham calling plays ??
I like him a lot more than Cumbie. Cumbie got too predictable.

TCU 2021 success will probably come down to how well their OL improves, and can their QB throw the ball down the field better.
Duggan was terribly inaccurate on a lot of deeper route throws in 2020.
That is very accurate. Duggan really had no opportunity last year to develop since spring ball was cancelled, and due to his heart condition didn't get back on the field until right when the season started. Hopefully he has had time to work on the downfield throws during the off season.

I think Aggies doing commercials for sheep dip is a natural.
-
How long is it before we see Oregon players doing Nike commercials?
-
So college athletes everywhere will be able to do what the SEC has been doing for years, get paid.
-
You beat the Vols and made all those Aggies unhappy.

I really don't understand why 16 is unwieldy. You just don't have any byes.

I wonder how many minutes it took Schlossnagle to realize when he arrived in College Station "what was I thinking"?

A playoff game in Jack Trice would elicit a kind of atmosphere that I don't think we've ever seen in American sports.
I'm not sure there is enough beer in Ames to pull this off.
