From the survey it’s clear these renovations are aimed it high end seats and $$$$$$.

Another $$ grab.  I took the survey and said, "not interested, we don't need to build a living room for people who aren't there to watch football".

  2. Harpoon Brewery for sure.  It can be very crowded and lines form quickly.  Check with a local on best times to visit.

Quincy Market is overrated and overrun with tourists.  Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel is haunted, trust me on this.

This is why we have a great chance to significantly improve in conference next year.  The Big 12 loses a ton of playmakers and leaders.

this is true in football as well.....

I don't buy that he doesn't think he can play in the NFL.  I think he has the hubris to think he can, and that's why he probably stays, irrespective of any sense being talked into him by his uncle.

Seriously....if you could play at that level why choose football over baseball?  In one you retire with a sore arm or torn rotator in the other you retire a drooling, jibbering mess.

  5. Discovered recently that SPG points transfer 3-1 to Marriott Rewards.  Marriott Reward Points can then be transferred to United Airlines 1pt = 1 mile.  I have 80K SPG pts, that's 240K Marriott Reward pts which, in turn, is 240k United miles.  Sweetness....

Wifey (no pics) and I are headed to Australia next February for a couple of weeks.  Was able to book Air Canada Vancouver to Melbourne (nonstop 16 hrs) in business class for 90K miles each.  Holding out hope United comes through with a 90K business class offer for the return on the United nonstop to IAH from Sydney.

Anyone have any insight on when United opens up and gets more generous with business class mileage deals?

  6. Good points above. Fan attendance has been falling off the last few years. The student section is pretty vacant. Game day experience is getting too expensive. After 35 years as a season ticket holder, this or maybe next year will be the last. Besides all game are on the tube and my bar is always open. No lines to take a piss either.

20 year ticket holder and I’ve been saying the above for the last 3-4 years. Just can’t bring myself to pull the plug.
