Interesting anecdote:  my cousin is a college graduate, anti-vax, evangelical nut job.  Her oldest kid is a senior in high school and just turned 18.  He’s asthmatic and has a few other health issues.  He texted my sister and I last week and asked us some questions.  Long story short, he stopped at cvs on the way home from school yesterday and got a shot.  He has no plans to tell his parents about it.   I think there is an amount of de-education that has to occur to get to where the anti-vaxxers are.

more anti vaxxers need to do this. just get the shot and keep their mouth shut

Former Astros first-round draft pick Forrest Whitley, six months post-Tommy John surgery, posted a video on his Instagram story of him throwing at the team's spring training complex in Florida on Monday. He captioned the photo, "Feels good to feel good."

In the video, Whitley no longer has the long hair he sported during spring training, and is throwing from flat ground as French Montana's "Lockjaw" plays over the complex's speakers.

We’re looking for a current or recently graduated ChemE or ME. If we get a current student, I’m assuming they wouldn’t be able to start until January, but we’d be able to start someone late October or November if available. It is paid.  We’re a small plant in Pasadena. They’d be a unit engineer intern, so a lot of time in the field around the units, herding jobs through on the rate/quality/cost once they learn how things go, help with small capex and maintenance projects.

Position would run at least January to early August.  I prefer 6+ month intern/co-op positions as I feel that’s better for the student and the company. They actually get to meaningfully contribute by the end of it.

For the mechanically inclined recent graduate, there is potential it could turn in to a long term job.  We allegedly might have a maintenance manager spot open up next year (I’m not saying I’m just saying type of thing).

PM me if you know someone and I’ll send you an email where they can send their resume. I will hit up the UT engineering office soon, but I thought Id try here too

Selling Real Estate. Made a shit ton in the Barnett, enough to pay cash for everything I own. Mom still has a huge non-participating royalty on 15k acres in Milam county. Her checks have quadrupled with the rise in NG prices*.
