i just cant fathom some 17 year old sitting there thinking "i want to learn about supply chain management".....

hahahaha, you hit the nail on the head. hits close to home, i just crushed a top 5 o/g company's supply chain group, made them break their rules on sole sourcing two projects.

Good luck with your kids finding the right college. The best decision I ever made was deciding to attend a much smaller engineering college.

PhD, what kind of ME is your son ? book nerd or social butterfly ?  I'm a ChemE that works as an ME, transitioned to the business side.

  2. not sure who wins the overpriced battle, irma's or el tiempo

el tiempo for lunch today - 1 salad with chicken / 1 beef fajitas for one / 1 chicken taco / 1 small queso / water to drink = $98

I worked as an oil change tech back in college (one of my 1,001 jobs during my 10 years as an undergrad on the 40 acres, actually); it always amazed me how easy it was to replace the filter on older model American cars and trucks compared to how hard it was to even find the damned thing on Hondas and Toyotas. And my arm was too big half the time, so I had to step aside and let the scrawny meth-addicted high school kid do it.

    congrats Dr !
