Well she’s got people right? Like, PR people? Who I assume would read it prior to being published.

People in her office don’t tell her no. Her Press Secretary is awful and is currently on Twitter defending this. For reference, he went to Hillsdale and worked for Gym Jordan.

It really is.  I've learned that there is a happy medium to be struck - we don't mind travel days, even a fair number of them, but you want to build an itinerary that lets you actually get into and absorb the experiences you're having.  E.g., we did a "Christmas market" trip to Germany and Denmark a couple years back.

Started in Berlin, several days there (visited our son, enjoyed one of our favorite cities).

Train to Lubeck (old Hanseatic town, really old Christmas market).  A couple of days there.

Train down to Cologne (whoops, got on the wrong train, but it was also going to Cologne, ticket dude cut the dumb Americans some slack).  A couple of days in Cologne (we'd like to go back, another day would have been nice).

Train down to Koblenz to spend the weekend with friends.  A couple of days with them, exploring the Rhein valley.

Quick train to Frankfurt, short flight to Copenhagen.  2.5 days in Copenhagen, just relaxing and enjoying the place.  Still had a little Christmas market at Nyhaven.  Ate at the Torvehallern, great dinner at Host, walked the city parks in the snowfall.  Headed home.

We hit lots of places, but gave ourselves time to truly BE in all of them.  So, think that through.  You don't want to hit everything you can imagine in one trip (you can't, and if you try, you'll just be miserable).

We will be in Berlin for four days in early October after a few days in Munich. Hit me with any of your recs.

When you're gone too long, what choice do you have? I was on a two week road trip with my family across parts of the west and midwest. On the 12th day, I broke down and took us to a "tex mex" restaurant in South Dakota that had billboards up for miles on the interstate. The chips and salsa weren't bad, so that made it worth it. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there unless they were desperate though.

Was it Que Pasa in Rapid City? That place sucks

  4. I have made it known that Red irritated the fuck out of me about the dad shit, but this episode I finally had a slight change of heart because jfc dude at least go for a jog when you know you are going to be on the show.  That dude doesn't even look like he is in that bad of shape and he could barely run 10 feet  seemed like lol.

Not saying he would outrun the 20 yr olds and shit, but man lets try to not die on tv

This. You know running is going to play a huge role in this, why not do a little prep?

Also, who the fuck swims with shoes on?

  5. Red should be arrested for attempted murder. She was trying to kill her pops making him go for an already gotten express pass lol.

I wish they had gotten eliminated cause now we got at least 1 more episode of whining throughout it...."well we're last, its over waaaahhh"

She knew they were in last, I can’t believe she was dumb enough to think the express pass was even going to be there.

Going to Minneapolis at beginning of April for the Twins home opening series against your 2022 World Champion Houston Astros.

My airbnb is pretty much in LF so I will be staying close to Target Field.

I have some of the breweries on my to go to list (Pyres, Surly, Dangerous Man) but if anyone has some other joints they recommend I will try to check them out. Brit's Pub seems to be a popular choice on here. I had a buddy who has been there mention CC Club and The Bulldog (? I think)

Personally I rather waste my money checking out drinking spots than restaurants so not really looking for any food recs.

Can't wait to watch baseball in the 40s!

Barrel Theory in St Paul is a really solid brewery, fantastic IPAs.

The few beers I've had from Falling Knife have been pretty good as well.

  7. Remember all the Republicans accusing Democrats of grooming? Turns out, a Republican running for the South Dakota senate is being charged with grooming a minor. I believe he was accusing people of grooming on his now deleted Twitter account a few days before this dropped. Every accusation is a confession.

  8. Pretty sure she called off campaigning and debates because of a back surgery. Now she wants to cashier for a day? Lol. I’ve never seen any of them in a chair before

She did! She posted a whole video about it a month and a half ago or so ago and said she won’t be able to campaign or debate because of it. Didn’t stop her from flying to Arizona for an event with Kari Lake a few weeks ago or to Florida for a $5,000 plate event last Friday.

This campaign event is part of her hammering that she will work to end the tax in food if she is re-elected. Never mind the fact that the few Democrats in South Dakota, including her challenger, have been pushing that for 20 years. They had a bill that passed the House this last session and she called on her attack dogs to kill it in the senate. She voted against it every time it came up when she was in the SD legislature. And her lap dog campaign communications director, who used to work for Gym fucking Jordan, said she has always wanted to end the food tax. They are just straight lying to the people of South Dakota and it’s probably going to work. If she gets re-elected, we won’t hear about the food tax ever again.

  9. Just a reminder of how awful Kristi Noem is electorally in fucking NORTH DAKOTA
2010 - won ND House race 48-46 in a red wave year
    2012 - won 57-43 (Romney won 58-39)
2014 - won 67-33 in another red wave year
    2016 - won 64-36 (Trump won 63-27)
    2018 - won ND Governor race 51-48
She also only got 76% of the primary vote in 2022.

South Dakota, but yeah, she sucks. I think she’s starting to get worried a bit. All her ads are comparing her opponent, Jamie Smith, to Biden. She can’t run on anything she’s done the last 4 years, because there isn’t anything. She recently came out and said if she was re-elected she will work to end the tax on food. Never mind the few Democrats that are in the SD Legislature have been trying to do that for years and she’s always opposed it. Always.

A few hardcore Republicans I know absolutely hate her. I think she’s in legit trouble.

This time their dumb cunt of a governor says she will implement if it passes. We shall see,

    .

She'll find something to overturn it if she gets elected again. I'm holding out hope that with legalization and Noem being on the ballot, the youth vote will turn out, but I highly doubt it because we can't have nice things in this state.

South Dakota AG was impeached by the Senate. This is the guy that was driving drunk, hit a man at night, thought it was a deer and tried to cover his ass later.

South Dakotan here. I do not believe he was driving drunk because he doesn't drink. The rest is true. He was distracted while driving, hit a guy, drove with him on his hood for like 7 seconds and somehow still thought it was a deer. All 4 tires were over the rumble strip. The guy he hit was carrying a flashlight and he claimed he didn't see it. His story changed a number of times from "I wasn't on my phone" to "I was reading news headlines right before". He has a history of speeding while driving and every time he got pulled over since he's been in office he always drops the "I'm the Attorney General" line.

The thing that sucked is Noem was pushing for him to be removed and I never want to agree with her on anything. And of course she goes and takes a victory lap tweet after he was removed from office.
