South Dakota AG was impeached by the Senate. This is the guy that was driving drunk, hit a man at night, thought it was a deer and tried to cover his ass later.

South Dakotan here. I do not believe he was driving drunk because he doesn't drink. The rest is true. He was distracted while driving, hit a guy, drove with him on his hood for like 7 seconds and somehow still thought it was a deer. All 4 tires were over the rumble strip. The guy he hit was carrying a flashlight and he claimed he didn't see it. His story changed a number of times from "I wasn't on my phone" to "I was reading news headlines right before". He has a history of speeding while driving and every time he got pulled over since he's been in office he always drops the "I'm the Attorney General" line.

The thing that sucked is Noem was pushing for him to be removed and I never want to agree with her on anything. And of course she goes and takes a victory lap tweet after he was removed from office.

2. Fly to Norway.  No vax proof required to fly.  No masks required on airplane.  Or train, or anywhere else.  Once in a while some old people wear it in the supermarket.  Shit's fine.

You still need a negative test to get into the US.
3. bump.

heading to minneapolis first week of may for craft brewers conference. staying at embassy suites downtown. i’ve got all the breweries bookmarked, but would love some downtownish food recs since it’s been 2.5 years (precovid) since this thread was active.

also top current brewery choices from TexasHooch and Al_4_ISU if you’ve got time.

bummed the twins won’t be in town.

While I haven’t been to the brewery, I’ve had a few beers from Falling Knife and they have all been really good.

4. That's a good time to come.  Bummer that the Twins won't be in town.
I'm really not aware of many new and trendy spots downtown, but some of the spots already listed in this thread are gone, so I'll restate my favorites.
Spoon and Stable- Get a reservation soon
Bar La Grassa- I've never been disappointed
Butcher's Tale- Used to be Butcher and the Boar.  The place to go for a whiskey drink.
Union Hmong Kitchen- This one's pretty new and I haven't been yet, but it's a Beard nominee and where the hell else are you going to get Hmong food than the Twin Cities (huge community here)?
Key's Cafe- Hangover breakfast.
Freehouse- It's more of a restaurant, but they brew their own beer and it's location is a perfect lunchtime jumping off point for a North Loop beer crawl.
Trivia Mafia- If you like trivia, this company operates hosts trivia at a bunch of different spots.  Their website will tell you what you need to know.
Breweries... Damn, there's so many.  First, read this to help develop a plan:   https://wanderlustinreallife.com/twin-cities-brewery-crawl/
My favorites (in no particular order) are Modest, Pryes, Duel Citizen, Fulton, Surly, Indeed, Barrel Theory, Tin Whiskers, Dangerous Man.  That's off the top of my head.  I'm sure I'm missing some.
Oh, one more.  Though I don't go there often, you may really appreciate the concept behind The Lab https://thelabmn.com/

Isn’t Tin Whiskers closed now or will be soon?

that's why utah's prior version is superior.  they had agreed on a commission to decide one-offs.  if shaq grabbed a wig, sorry, you're not allowed, because it's pretty obviously going to adversely affect the sport more than it adversely affects you.  if david spade wanted to, hey man, you go ahead.

That's how it was in South Dakota as well until, well, Kristi Noem.

6. Headed to the UK and Ireland in 6ish weeks. Already rented a car to drive through Ireland. Plan on hitting Giants Causeway, staying a few nights outside Limerick, driving the Dingle Peninsula and going to the Cliffs. Any recommendations in that area is greatly appreciated. Also spending a few days in Dublin.

Who was the surly poster who shared a screenshot on some ordinary topic and had a search tab open with pegging porn ? I was lucky enough to have seen it in real time-- that was peak surly, one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this site.

NowThis

8. I heard two weeks and it would magically disappear.  That's what I'm putting all my money on.  I know people that say this and it seems super realistic.  I'm sure we have nothing to worry about.  If this doesn't happen, I will kill myself and all of my friends that believe the same thing*
*It would have been awesome if this had happened

Drink some bleach. It should help

The Noem daughter story is the following:

• Adult daughter couldn't get her real estate appraisal license from the state
• There was a meeting/hearing for the daughter to appeal the decision. State officials and employees make the decision.
• Noem attended the hearing to support her daughter. Reminder, Noem is the governor.
• Daughter received the license.

sounds perfectly legit.

Noem called the meeting with the employee that was going to deny the license and her daughter attended, I don't think it was to appeal.

In September 2019, Peters applied to become a certified residential appraiser. But in late July 2020, the Appraiser Certification Program moved to deny the license, according to a July 27 letter from Peters’ supervisor that was obtained by AP. The certification is denied when an applicant’s work samples don’t meet minimum compliance with national standards, according to the agency’s upgrade procedures.

Bren, who had directed the Appraiser Certification Program for three decades, told the AP that she received a text on July 26 from her supervisor telling her to be at the governor’s office the next morning, ready to discuss “appraiser certification procedures.”

Besides Noem and Peters, Bren said the meeting included Labor Secretary Marcia Hultman; Bren’s supervisor; the governor’s general counsel; and, participating by telephone, Noem’s chief of staff and a lawyer from the state’s Department of Labor and Regulation.

Bren remembered it lasting close to an hour and including questions from Noem on how certification works.

10. Okay I gotcha. You are talking Match ups and teams. I thought you meant JT not even being there and replacing him with another person.

no. I think he should sit both matches tomorrow. Let him relax and slot him in early or mid round Sunday.
11. Except for birdie on 9 and eagle on 16 in the afternoon match? C'mon man, he putted like total shit in the AM, but lacking confidence he isn't.

Those are the only two putts he made. He left a putt to win a match 3 feet short!
