There is no magic. My program last year was simple- burn more calories than I consume. That starts with some basic food and lifestyle changes. The biggest is portion control. I have always been someone who will eat whatever is in front of me, and all of it. I think it stems from being one of 5 kids and if you didn't eat fast and a lot, it was gone. But you'd be surprised how you just don't need to eat the massive amounts you probably do, and I don't mean that disparagingly. Portion sizes in this country have gotten ridiculous, and we have re-programmed ourselves as to what a full me amounts to. It is WAY more than what was normal 20-30 years ago. So start there. And you can make tasty food without much sacrifice. Choose the the lower fat/calorie salad dressings, mayos, cheeses, etc. Eat a single protein- chicken breast, fish, and red meat is fine in smaller portions. A couple of things I did to help aid my portion control is as soon as I felt I had an adequate amount, I immediately threw out what was ever left on my plate. If I set it on the counter, I would invariably go back and pick at it. Also I would go brush my teeth shortly after my meal. Something about doing that puts a stop to wanting more. And as state above, get moving. But don't adopt some military-style boot-camp workout. YOu won't maintain it. Just adopt a workout that burns calories, even if it is just walking, and stick to it. Anyway, this approach worked for me. And I LOVE food.
This is fantastic advice in regards to portion control. I’ve struggled with it lately but a few years ago, I basically cut everything in half and dropped a ton of weight. -
you are forgetting there are 4 gimmies. no reason they couldn't win 4 or 5 games if they are in the east. 8 to 9 for the last 2 teams is reasonable.
Those were good teams but playing in the AAC is a lot different than playing in SEC. -
UCF would win 8 or 9 in the SEC which is top heavy. 2017 UCF would win 9 or 10 in the SEC.
That’s a really bold take. -
Only about 4 months until courses start to open up around here. Gives me plenty of time to learn all the new rules.

I’m in on this. Put on a ton of weight in the last year. Looking to lose about 70-80 pounds. Need to clean up my diet and hit the gym hard this year.

Binged on Narcos over the holiday break. I’ll be done by tomorrow.
Should I go Narcos Mexico next or Inside the real narcos?
Also, what Chapo flick is the one to watch?
Thanks!
I’m working on Narcos as well. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to watch it. -
Saw a lot of Burnt Orange listening to Florida Georgia Line. I thought you guys were better than that.

If I don’t give a rats about epl or soccer I’m general, would it still be s good thing to watch about fandom? Don’t hate soccer, just probably wouldn’t understand much if they talk strategy or players or rivalries.
I think you would still enjoy it. They don’t break out into the strategy, at least through one episode. -
I binged Sunderland 'Til I Die over the past two days and really liked it. Most sports documentary series are on championship caliber teams or at least teams that are good. I've never seen one featuring a team during its worst season ever and found it thoroughly and utterly fascinating. I came out of it hoping Sunderland makes it back to the EPL at some point. Really good watch.
Through one episode and I’m intrigued by it. But as a Newcastle fan, let me just say fuck Sunderland.-

I thought there was a campus party thing that got him "forced" out.
He took the USC job. They may not have been sad to see him go but he officially left for USC -
Within the span of a few posts we have people bitching about NFL teams only hiring retreads and also people laughing at the Raiders for not hiring a retread
Welcome to Surly -
For all the Trumpkins on here, I have a suggested New Year's Resolution -- from here on out, you resolve to not vote for incompetent, immoral, corrupt, fat failed businessmen.
If they make that resolution, it will be like all other New Year’s Resolutions and last a couple weeks and then they’ll be back to their old selfs. -
We started watching Very British Problems the other night. Decent show, good for a few laughs when you realize we do some very similar things they do when it comes to interactions with other people.

Come on Temple, make another run at Elko. -
I like watching Texas football. I Just never heard the name of the coach of Georgia anymore leading up to our game with them. I like our chances of winning now...
Georgia is much better with Kirby Smart -
I honestly thought he was still the coach at Georgia.
You are really good at following football -
That sounds like a complete disaster. -
They were at Baltimore’s 41 yard line. Hardly deep in their territory.
And it was a good play by the defender.-

They do it all the time. World class chokers.
Yeah, well aware. I’ve been a fan for 25ish years, I know what they do. -
Fucking Vikings. Pathetic fucks. Way to show up in a win and in. Jesus. Fuck that team forever.

Christmas was a week ago, stop with the ducking Christmas commercials.
-
that the name of that epic head coaching failure Kiliff Kingsbury comes up for a head coaching job at any level of football just reinforces that fact this world is in full-blown idiocracy
He would fit perfectly at Miami. All flash with very little substance. -
Validity aside, the AT&T Just OK commercial with the surgeon gets me to chuckle. "Guess who just got reinstated! Well, not officially." "Nervous? Ya, me too."
The sushi one gives me a chuckle too when the guy says “this fish is raw”
Beer 2019, imo.

If anyone is ever up in South Dakota and the Black Hills/Badlands area. Find yourself some Lost Cabin. Having their season red IPA tonight and it’s very good.
